I kept looking at a photo of this Pasta dish in Food & Wine Magazine. After reading the recipe and seeing it was pretty simple, I decided to make it. Turned out GREAT and I will definitely make this again. The flavor of the Sausage and Fennel shines through!

Fridays during Lent means eating no meat or chicken. Decided to grab a Burger King
Big Fish Sandwich with lettuce, tomato, cheese, onions and pickles. This was really good!
Highly recommend kicking it up a notch with the extra veggies.

Another PERFECT and GREAT meal at Side Street Inn. This has to be one of my favorite restaurants ever in Hawaii. Every time we go here I am impressed and so satisfied with the food and service. Definitely the place I like to take out of town visitors and friends. On this night, we took a friend from California and he said it was the highlight of his trip. We enjoyed some of our favorite dishes but with just three of us couldn't order more dishes like the Pork Chops, Clams and Garlic Chicken. This is the kind of place you want to take a group and order a bunch of dishes to share. The ultimate family style dining spot on Oahu and save room for dessert because they rock too!

So lucky to live in Hawaii and enjoy incredible fresh Ahi most of the year. This small block of Ahi cost $21 at Foodland Farms and it was more than enough for two. When the Ahi is this fresh, it cuts like butter and melts in your mouth. A HUGE difference from most store and restaurant bought Ahi which is injected with carbon manoxide to keep the deep red color. You heard me right "carbon monoxide". We always try to buy fresh non-treated Ahi and can tell the difference from the treated Ahi when it is served in restaurants and in Poke.

This is actually my wife's favorite bite. She loved this so much that she now craves it every time she sees an Indian restaurant. The flavor of the chicken infused the rice with the perfect amount of seasoning. We also put the fresh Shrimp in Curry Sauce in the best bites because the Shrimp was fresh and the Curry was superb!

I have eaten a lot of Octopus over the years but never one as good as this. The most flavorful and perfectly cooked piece of Octopus ever. It cut like butter and had the consistency of a white fish. Everyone at the table loved this and said it was unlike any they have ever had.

This is up there with the WORST experiences and food ever on this blog. Food and service sucked. Service was a zero with no hello, goodbye, engagement or attention. No menus are offered and they do not even tell you to use the app. App was pretty easy to use and had photos and prices for each item. Started with the Spare Ribs which were delivered in a bowl of pretty tasteless oil. Eatable but not good. The Hot and Sour Won Tons were neither hot or sour. Very bland bowl of again...OIL. The House Beef Noodles again a bowl of oil and very bland and tasteless. Would never step foot in this place again and cannot fathom how their Los Angeles location has garnered so much attention and rave reviews.
