With family visiting from the mainland, we just had to take them to The Kahala Resort and Arancino. The Kahala is my "Happy Place" and Arancino is one of our favorite restaurants so this was a perfect combination for a family dinner. We started with a cocktail at The Kahala and walked the grounds, observed the Dolphins and took in the amazing ocean views. Then it was time for dinner which did not disappoint. We started with the Carppacio di Polpo which has become a must order for us. Thinly sliced, perfectly cooked Octopus with a light dressing that changes peoples perception of Octopus. The Affettato Misto Platter was perfect for the table and the meats and cheese were devoured along with the Fried Dough which goes perfectly with a chunk of Parmesan. The Margherita Pizza could be my favorite in Hawaii. Just a beautiful work of art in colors, texture and flavor. Simple and delicious. Also love the Pizza Tre Porcellini which is like an Italian Meat Lovers Pizza. So happy they put a Caesar Salad on the menu and this one is good. I love the Risotto Ai Funghi that they prepare in a giant cheese wheel. This is a perfect dish to share with the table rather than order as an entree. One of the best if not the best Risottos in Hawaii. My wife LOVES the Uni Pasta and I always try to sneak a few bites from her. The fresh Hokkaido Uni puts this pasta over the top. Also really like the Bolognese and LOVE the Carbonara. The Carbonara is one of my favorite dishes and again one of the best if not the best in Hawaii. The Rigatoni prepared in the cheese wheel was also amazing.
