This is one of our favorite home meals and it is especially good when we have the Original Giovanni's Hot Sauce from their Shrimp Truck on the North Shore.  Well, we had the Hot Sauce and this was amazing!  You really got to have the Hot Sauce to make this the best.

We love Giovanni's Shrimp Truck but don't always want to drive to the North Shore to enjoy it.  My Wife spent two years perfecting a recipe and now we have Giovanni's Shrimp at home.  The big secret is to buy a lot of the Giovanni's Hot Sauce at the truck and bring it home.  When you have their sauce and this recipe its like being on the North Shore.

The family took a stroll through Kakaako and stopped into the new H Mart store which has an Eating Hall upstairs.  Was so happy to see Giovanni's Shrimp is now available in town.  While we did not eat here on this visit, I did want to share a few photos of what's now available in Kakaako.  Only negative is the parking as its a bit difficult to find parking near the H Mart.  Ohh..and the market below is pretty cool with lots of Korean and Asian sauces, spices, noodles, meats and condiments.

Cannot visit the North Shore of Oahu without stopping at the Original Giovanni's Shrimp Truck in Kahuku.  This plate of Shrimp with Garlic Rice and Hot Sauce on the side is one of our favorite foods in Hawaii.  I love the Hot Sauce here and always give a nice tip and ask for extra to take home.  

This visit included an ice cold Smoothie and Fresh Coconut Juice from the truck next to Giovanni's.  Also went down a few stalls and bought Corn on the Cobb which is also delicious and the perfect compliment to the Shrimp.

Entire family absolutely loves our homemade version of Giovanni's Shrimp Truck.  This Garlic Shrimp is the bomb and must be served with the authentic Giovanni's Hot Sauce that you get at the truck on the North Shore of Oahu.  When we order the Shrimp Plate at the truck, I always give the cashier a big tip and ask for extra sauce.  We keep the sauce in the refrigerator and use it when we make Garlic Shrimp at home.  I am telling you, when you have the Hot Sauce this is as good or better than the truck!  Took us years to perfect the recipe.

LOVE Giovanni's Shrimp Truck on the North Shore of Oahu.  Cannot always get out there so we bribe the workers for extra hot sauce and keep it in the refrigerator.  My Wife has perfected the Garlic Shrimp recipe and when combined with the real deal Giovanni's Hot Sauce, we have our own Shrimp Truck at home.  Truly one of our favorite meals.
