The Bit & Spur was located right next to our condo in Zion so we just walked a few feet and were able to enjoy a nice dinner without driving and worrying about parking. The place was jammed packed but we had a reservation. Had to wait a bit but the hostess was super friendly and got us seated in the main dining room. Service was great but the food was not. Pretty basic Mexican with nothing really hitting the spot. Enjoyed the place though. Chips and Salsa was basic and really wished the Salsa had a bit of heat. The Smoked Chicken Taquitos were pretty bland and I don't think we even finished them. I ordered a Crunchy Beef Taco and Chicken Enchilada with Beans and Rice. I requested Cheese and Lettuce on my Taco because they do not put them on the regular tacos. They gave me a little bit of cheese and lettuce in small ramekins. Pretty sad Tacos. The Enchilada was not much better. Also very bland.
My wife went with a Crunchy Pork Taco and liked it. She was not a fan of the Enchilada with Green Sauce because it was bland. Despite the food not being great here, we loved the people and vibe. Would return again especially in the warmer months when they open the outdoor Taco Stand and have live music.
