Pretty much the PERFECT dinner for me at Ruth's Chris Waikiki.  I didn't even need to look at the menu and just ordered my all-time favorites.  Seared Ahi, Wedge Salad and a Petite Filet.  

Every dish was perfect and satisfying.  The Steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly.  I like the fact that the taste of the meat shines through here.  This is a Steak the way a Steak should be.  No need for additional sauces or seasoning.  Left full and happy knowing that you cannot go wrong at Ruth's Chris.  Always consistent and delicious!

Could not believe how a simple Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich could taste so good and be so satisfying.  The Heirloom Tomato made this a winner!

BEEF, BEAN AND GUACAMOLE TOSTADA

These homemade Tostadas were better than any Mexican restaurant in Hawaii and one of the best I have ever tasted.  The layers of flavors and textures made each bite a delicious explosion.  Started with a fried Ala Madre Low Carb Tortilla and then added a layer of 

Spicy Refried Beans with sautéed Onions and Jalapeños.  Then came the Taco Beef with sautéed Onions and Jalapeños.  Next up was some Hot Sauce and then a layer of Guacamole, Lettuce, Cheese, Pico de Gallo and Cotija Cheese.  These were beyond good.  

They were delicious!

Friday afternoons at The Kahala is my happy place and there is no other place I would rather be for just an hour or two.  Sitting here in one of the most beautiful places on Oahu gathering my thoughts and looking back at the week and what lies ahead.  Quiet time for me that I truly love.  Also love the fresh Ahi Sashimi which is always some of the best in Hawaii.

Enjoyed a rare family dinner with all four of my wife's brothers.  While three of them live in Hawaii, the fourth works on the World Cruise ship and is always traveling.  Only get to see him when the ship docks in Hawaii every couple of years.  Crazy as he applied for a U.S. Visa in 2008, and as of today it still has not been granted.  Anyway the food was great and it was nice to spend time catching up with everyone.

Enjoyed another great lunch at Hualani's on Kauai.  Service was fantastic on this visit and the weather could not have been better.  Clear blue skies with a light breeze.  Ordered the Fresh Fish Sandwich again and it was perfect.  Loved the Ahi Tuna cooked through and a bit rare in the middle.  Comes with a Cajun Rub which I will ask to go lighter on next time. Topped with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and Coleslaw.  One of the best Fish Sandwiches in Hawaii.

A family member who is from Vietnam made these delicious Vegetarian Spring Rolls and they were some of the best  I have ever eaten.  The difference was the freshness of the vegetables which shined through with bursts of flavor.  Loved em!
