HOT DOG FROM STREET CART IN NEW YORK

NEW YORK HOT DOG CART
911 MEMORIAL

When in New York you need to enjoy just one hot dog from a street cart.  Average price is around $1. On the Upper West Side the same dog can sell for $1.50 to $2.00.  We stopped for a dog near the 911 Memorial.  This is my third or fourth visit to this special place since 911.  Prior to 911 we had never visited New York.  I traveled here shortly after 911 to pay my respects to the brave men and woman who made the ultimate sacrifice to our country.  I have loved New York and its people ever since.

GRAY'S PAPAYA

GRAY'S PAPAYA
NEW YORK, NY

Listed on the internet as New York's best Hot Dog and shown on the Food Channels Best Hot Dog places is Gray's Papaya. They are known for their "snappy" dogs because they have a little snap when you bite into them. The menu is simple. Dogs with or without sauerkraut and onions. The price is great at $1.25 per dog. While these dogs were good, we still like the Original Nathan's Hot Dogs a little better.
