DINNER AT HOME

I love Pizza and have been trying all kinds of lower carb Pizza Crusts.  So far I have not found anything that really tastes that great.  The Cali'Flour Foods plant based Cauliflower Pizza Crust was no exception.  Did not really care for the taste and just could not get the crust to crisp up.  I even bought the Vented Pizza Pan recommended in the cooking instructions.  Baked for 17 minutes and then another 10 minutes until the sides browned.  Still floppy.  Probably wouldn't buy these Pizza Crusts again.  The kicker was my Daughter was hungry and she could not even finish one small piece.  I had great toppings too.  Basil Tomato Sauce, Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Onions, Bell Pepper, Oregano, Mozzarella, Italian Cheese Blend, Parmesan and Jalapeños.

I like Pieology Pizza and now that I am eating a low carb diet we decided to try the Cauliflower Crust.  They add $3 to the cost of the Pizza to go Cauliflower Crust.  I ordered everything else for my Pizza just like normal.  Sausage, Pepperoni, Canadian Bacon, Jalapeños, Red Onion and Bell Pepper.  The crust was thin and a bit crispy.  It did not have a strong Cauliflower flavor and tasted pretty much like a normal Pizza to me.  I liked it.

Now that I have tried Cauliflower Pizza Crusts at CPK and now Pieology, I am a fan and will continue eating low carb pizza crust when it is available.

Learning to eat Keto or low carb when going to restaurants has been interesting.  Luckily at CPK which is one of my Wife and Daughters favorites, the options are many.  We started with Buffalo Cauliflower which surprised everyone. This stuff was great.  Tasted like eating Buffalo Chicken Wings.  I ordered the Wedge Salad which was served chilled and with lots of bacon and a delicious dressing.  Loved it.  We went for the BBQ Chicken Pizza with Cauliflower Crust.  I took a few bites and thought they sent a regular pizza.  The crust was chewy and tasted normal.  A few more bites and the taste of Cauliflower came through but it was not overwhelming.  Wow...great low carb pizza.  Absolutely loved it.  This pizza is as good as the normal one and I would eat the Cauliflower crust pizza at CPZ all the time.  Amazed at how could this little dinner was for being low carb.
