MAUI INVITATIONAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

An opportunity to see Duke Basketball in Hawaii could not be missed. When I told my Daughter I had to tickets to the tournament and Duke was playing she asked who I was taking. I told her my buddy and she started to cry. "What about me" she said. Don't you have school I asked. She replied "Yes Daddy but it's Duke and when will I be able to see Duke play again?". She then rattled off half the team names to me; Zion, RJ Barrett, Reddish, Tre Jones. I told her I would see what I could do and called my friend who set me up with 3 Day Reserved Seats and VIP Access to Hospitality Suite.
Turns out he could not make the first games so I called my Daughter and told her she was going with me to see Duke play San Diego State in the First Round of the Tournament. She again began to cry.
My heart was pounding with happiness knowing that me and my baby were going to watch Duke.
At 17 years old I know that these days are few and soon she will be off to college and not wanting to hang out with Dad all day watching basketball. The day on Maui was magical. We hung out and watched several games, cruised the VIP Suite and went to dinner in Kapalua. Realized a dream of watching Duke Basketball with my Daughter and probably had one of the best days of my life.
So blessed and happy for this day with my baby.
