We enjoyed one of the best lunches of our lives at EMC Seafood and Raw Bar on Santana Row. I had never heard of this restaurant and did not know that it was a chain. We just happened in one afternoon while visiting San Jose. So glad we did because the Chef made a special request for us and the dish blew me away. We sat outside which I highly recommend because it can get pretty smoky inside because they use some high powered Woks. We started with some fresh Oysters and Sushi. Both fantastic. Then came the Clams with Crispy Garlic. This dish blew the entire family away with incredible flavor. The garlic and spices were amazing. We ate the Clams and then devoured all of the sauce. I am not kidding this stuff is awesome. I would put it on everything if I could. Spicy but not too spicy with chilis and jalapeño. Wow...this is incredible. So good in fact that I asked the waiter if the Chef would put this sauce on King Crab. He asked the Chef and my request was granted. The waiter brought out the dish which looked amazing and said that the Chef apologizes if it is not good because it is the first time he attempted this dish. One bite and I told the waiter to kiss the Chef for me and tell him this is his new signature dish. The Spicy King Crab was so good.
One of the best King Crab dishes of my life. So good in fact we went back again and ordered it. Just as good and my Wife's favorite was the Black Pepper Beef Mignon. Tender cuts of beef in a delicious sauce. One of the best Beef dishes we have ever tasted. The beef melted in your mouth. Returned to order this again too. Everything here was delicious and we already went back. Looking forward to our next trip to San Jose to eat more food at EMC.
