Blessed to present a check for $100,000 to the University of Hawaii Cancer Center.  This brings our total donations to the Center to over $440,000.  The majority of the money raised is from our Cooling Cancer Golf Tournament which was held on September 2, 2022 at Hoakalei Country Club.  I founded Cooling Cancer in memory of my Dad and many others who have left us far too soon because of cancer.  Learn more at www.coolingcancer.org

MALAMA DE KEIKI THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION

KAUI KAUHI AND FRIENDS MALAMA DE KEIKI
THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION
WAIMANALO, HAWAII

So proud of what my friend Kaui Kauhi does for his hometown of Waimanalo.  Each year he rallies his friends, family and local business owners to provide gifts and a Thanksgiving meal for the children (Keiki) and families in Waimanalo.  Everything comes from his heart and everything is donated with no tax write off or deduction.  Just local people coming together to do something good.  Kaui works tiressly to organize this event that includes hundreds of toys, bikes, food, haircuts and positive role models for any family that shows up.  It is the true spirit of Aloha that I am so proud to be a part of.  So very proud of Kaui too.  The man came from nothing and gives more than anyone I know.  All just to help the children of the town where he grew up in and lives.  He asks for nothing in return and tries with all his heart to instill positive thoughts and faith in every child.  All of the adults formed a circle around the kids for a prayer.  Then Kaui made all of the kids go around the circle and hug and thank every adult who was there.  He wanted them to show their gratitude to those who provided everything around them.  Truly a special moment in Hawaii.

COOLING CANCER CHECK PRESENTATION

COOLING CANCER CHECK PRESENTATION
UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII CANCER CENTER

So blessed and proud to present the University of Hawaii Cancer Center with a check for $65,000.
The money was raised from our 2018 Cooling Cancer Golf Tournament held in August.  This brings our total donations to the Cancer Center to almost $300,000.  Nothing makes me more happy than being able to give back like this.  Only thing I want more is bigger checks to donate.  Under the new direction of Dr. Randall Holcombe, the UH Cancer Center is doing great things.  Clinical Trials are now available that enable Hawaii residents local treatments without having to travel to the Mainland. Groundbreaking research in Breast Cancer and specialized studies on Cancer in Asian populations just a few of the great things happening at the Center.
