BREAKFAST AT HOME

Opened the refrigerator to find a burger leftover from a few days ago.  Decided to have it for breakfast.  Topped with Tomato, Onion and Avocado.  Delicious!

Craving a Burger but did not want a large one so I made smaller Slider type Burgers using a lettuce wrap in place of the bun.  Topped melted cheese, Tomato, Onion and Avocado.

These little Burgers rocked and I will be making them again soon.

Celebrated Memorial Day with good old Hamburgers and Hot Dogs.  Kept it simple and it was oh so good.  Absolutely love my Drew Burgers which are my favorite Burger next to In N' Out.  Made homemade French Fries in the Air Fryer and they came out crispy and delicious.  Earlier in the day we enjoyed Nathan's Hot Dogs which are also my fave.  Good thing I walked about 15 miles this weekend.

With Mother's Day coming in a few days, I told my Wife that she could have anything in the world for dinner the next three nights.  I offered up Steak and Lobster, Sushi, Thai Food, Crab, Fish, Pasta, Rack of Lamb, Beef Wellington...anything.  It took her two days to decide and she came back with Mini Burgers and Air Fried French Fries.  I kid you not.  Was happy to make a mini version of my Drew Burgers and the Fries.  These burgers are really better than any restaurant in Hawaii.  Closest thing to getting an In N' Out Burger in Hawaii.  I absolutely love them and so does the Wife.

LUNCH AT HOME

Next to an In N' Out Burger, I will take my Drew Burger over any other burger.  I modeled my burger after In N' Out and even layer the ingredients like they do.  My sauce is similar (ketchup, mayo and sweet pickle relish) and I lightly butter and toast the bun.  The key to the Drew Burger is the beef.  I only use the Sams Club 1/3 pound Angus Beef Patties.  Cook on grille and make sure you salt and pepper both sides liberally.  Make this burger exactly as shown and you will love it!

While visiting Florida I wanted to only eat at places that were local or things we do not have in Hawaii.  I don't think I have ever eaten at a Hardee's so we decided to stop in and try their burgers.

I went for the standard cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and onion.  It was really good.  Would prefer an In n' Out Burger but this was better than most fast food burgers and one that I would happily  eat again.

The last thing I wanted today was a burger.  I need to drop a few pounds and was looking for something lighter.  Keli and me were cruising around and ended up at Good to Grill on Kapahulu.  We walked into Good to Grill and found employees that were like zombies.  No service, just stares.  The sign by the cash register read "Lunch served at 12:00".  It was 11:40 so we left.  Keli saw Burgers on the Edge and said she wanted a burger.  "You sure I asked".  Yes, Daddy, lets get a burger.  I was forced.  Keli ordered the Waygu Beef Burger ($8.49) with cheese, turkey bacon, pickles and sprouts.  I ordered the burger with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle ($8.49).  I took two bites and was done.  Could only dream of a $2.00 In n' Out Burger.  How can a burger cost $8.49 and not be as good as a $2.00 In n' Out Burger I thought.  This was disappointing experience.
