We had no plans to have lunch at Roy's on Mother's Day. My Wife said she wanted to stay home with he dog. After church she changed her mind so I jumped on Open Table to see what was available at noon. Surprised to see a lot of restaurants with open times. She picked Roy's Waikiki so we headed over and found the restaurant empty. Inside and outside there were only a few guests. We grabbed a nice table outside overlooking the busy Lewers Street. Complimentary Edamame arrived and my Wife loved it. Slightly spicy and sweet with a hint of Sesame and Chili Oils. The Frying Dragon Roll was just that, "fried". It was good but wish it had not been fried. The Zucchini was also fried and again good flavor but fried. The star of the lunch was the Chinese Style Snapper which was not fried. This was one of my fave fish dishes in all of Waikiki. Would order this over and over again. Delicious! Ended the meal with Mud Pie which was really good.

We love the food and staff at Roy's Waikiki. One of our favorite spots for Pupu's and dinner for sure. The last two visits we have been sitting at the kitchen table that overlooks the cooking line. I love watching the food action, preparation, plating and cooking system. Roy's has the system down with amazing precision that puts out food fast and consistent. Everything is good here with the Blackened Ahi and Kanpachi Crudo being two of our favorites. We also LOVE the BBQ Ribs. We ended up just sharing appetizers and sushi on this visit. Totally satisfying and filling. We left very full and happy. Cannot say enough about the great staff. Service is exceptional!

Had a wonderful and unexpected visit to Roy's Waikiki. We were walking back to our car after an event in Waikiki. I decided to stop at Roy's for a glass of vino. There was no room at the bar so a very nice employee suggested we sit at the Chef's table. Sure I said and we were whisked to the best seat in the house. A view of the kitchen and an incredible display of cooking and plating. The team at Roy's is good. Real good. Food goes out with amazing professionalism and without any drama. Cool, calm and professional. Loved the show and the food. We had the most incredible service from Yoshi and Lea. Treated us like rock stars!
