Today we will premier a new Fujitsu Air Conditioning commercial at Dave and Busters in Honolulu. The spot will run during the Arizona vs Denver NFL Football Game on Fox Channel 2 in Hawaii. We have invited all of the players, models and production staff to join us for the debut of the spot that was produced, directed and filmed by Greg Davis at KHON. Greg and his co-worker Phil edited the spot to get a ton of footage down to .30 seconds. So blessed to have all of these great former University of Hawaii Football players participate in this production. Maa Tanuvasa, Colt Brennan, Rich Miano, Nate Ilaoa, Leonard Peters, Mike Lafaele and Tala Esera all braved 90 degree heat on the field at Aloha Stadium along with the Kapahulu Raiders Football Team who took on our All Stars. Also featured in the spot is local Hawaii models Ashlee Kozuma and Meleana Fernandez. Ashlee who is featured as our waitress was Miss Teen U.S.A. in 2012. This was an incredible shoot with some of the greatest players and people from University of Hawaii Football. My sincere thanks to everyone including Aloha Stadium for helping to make this commercial one of the best ever!
We held a premiere of the new commercial at Dave and Busters in Honolulu. The entire cast attended along with their families and friends. Cannot say enough good things about the new Dave and Busters Sports Lounge. Great food, drinks, service and big screens.

Was lucky to get two tickets to the Chopsticks and Wine event held at the Honolulu Convention Center. Tickets are $125 each and they always sell out. The doors open at 6:00 PM and there is unlimited food and wine until 8:30 or whenever they run out. We arrived around 6:30 because the parking lot was backed up really bad. Recommend you get here early next year. You enter Chopsticks and Wine to find a huge table of wine glasses. You can grab one off the table or purchase a premium glass for $10. All proceeds from this event go to the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce so I bought the nice glasses. We started to sample wines and I tell you most were pretty good. Enjoyed a few glasses from Napa, Spain, Italy, Australia and France. There a probably a dozen food stations with small plates from some really good restaurants. The lines for some of the food were just too long so I did not get to try them all. Seating is also limited and it is hard to hold a wine glass and eat while standing. There is a VIP seating area with tables but I have no idea what it cost to get a table there. I liked bouncing all over the large room. We would grab a glass of wine and then cruise around until we met people or saw friends. The vino really started rolling around 8:00 and then right when we are having fun the thing ended. Really enjoy this event and hope to be back again next year. Only wish they had more tables and a few more hours to party. Plus I wish it were on a Friday or Saturday night rather than a work night. Made in back to Hasr Bistro for a business lunch. My friend said I had to try the Cioppino because he absolutely loves it and has eaten it three times. We made our way downtown and were lucky to find parking on the street. The neighborhood is adjacent to a small park that is filled with homeless people. In fact, there were homeless people sleeping next to where we parked. Pretty smelly and depressing area and then you walk into a beautiful courtyard that leads to Hasr Bistro. You enter into a large dining room with a small bar area. We checked in and were taken past the kitchen through a hall that leads to a small back room with about five tables. The back room as we called it is pretty plain and not exciting. Like being in a conference room. We started with the Shrimp Spring Rolls ($10). These were deep fried and when you added the Chili Aioli that is all you could taste. Not bad.
I tried the Cioppino ($23) and loved it. Nice pieces of Fish, Shrimp, Clams, Scallops, Calamari in a savory tomato base soup filled with flavor. I asked that no Mussels be in my Cioppino and the waiter did not hesitate to say yes. There were no Mussels in my soup so I was happy. Even happier to enjoy the large thick Clams that were one of the best parts of the dish. The Clams were large and delicious. This is a huge bowl and really too much for lunch. I probably go down 1/3 of the bowl. Enjoyed every bite though and wish I would have brought the leftovers home. My friends enjoyed the Osso Buco ($18) and Pesto Chicken Carbonara ($17) and both seemed to love their food. Service was excellent and the food came out quickly. My friend picked up the tab so this was a really good lunch. I want to go back again and try more dishes here. Just wish the prices were a bit lower for lunch. They could cut the portions and prices and have me back here way more often for a business lunch.
