Benjarong is one of the highest rated restaurants in Manila on TripAdvisor. We were in the mood for Thai food so decided to give it a try. Both food and service was excellent. Especially liked the Tom Yum Gang Soup and Wok cooked Fresh Fish.

Great food, service and ambiance at the Blackbird which is located directly across from the Peninsula Hotel in Manila. Literally can walk here from the hotel in just two minutes. Restaurant is beautiful inside and out. We were seated in the outdoor terrace where the weather was perfect. Food was good. I did not care for the Crab Cakes which were deep fried and full of potatoes. The Seafood Bisque, Shrimp and Rack of Lamb were excellent.

The weather in Manila is the best I have encountered during all of my visits to the Philippines. There is a cool breeze and going outside is not miserable, hot and humid. Heck the sky is also blue and traffic in Makati seems actually light. On a day like this you can sit at the Pool Bar and enjoy a meal or cocktail at the Peninsula. I tried the Pastrami Corned Beef Reuben Sandwich and it was amazing. Perfect combination of meats, sauerkraut, cheese and dressing. Also loved the Cole Slaw and Pickle served with the sandwich. I only ate 1/3 of the sandwich and my Wife and Daughter each had 1/3. Everyone loved it!

Enjoyed some really delicious fresh pastas, meatballs, pizza and one of the best Octopus Salads ever.

The Polipo or Octopus with Arugula rocks. Super thinly sliced Octopus with a Lemon and Caper dressing with Arugula. Fresh, light and so good. Meatballs also really good here as were the house made fresh pastas.
