CHICKEN CAESAR WRAPS

DINNER AT HOME

We had Bib Lettuce, Japanese Cucumbers and Carrots in the fridge that I wanted to use up.  Decided to do a Chicken Caesar Wrap using grilled chicken breasts that I cooked on the bbq.  I coated the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder and Italian Seasoning.  Grilled for about 7 minutes on each side and then cut into strips.  Warmed the flour tortillas in microwave for 15 seconds and then put down the lettuce, chicken, cucumber, carrots, parmesan cheese and dressing.  Wrapped it all up and served up a great tasting Caesar Chicken Wrap in less than 30 minutes.  These Wraps are fresh, light and so delicious.

Really was excited about dining at Noi Thai Cuisine.  I had seen photographs of the food and it looked incredible.  We stopped in for lunch and I was blown away by the beauty of the restaurant.  So classy, calm and inviting inside.  While the inside was beautiful we opted to sit outside on the terrace on a perfect Hawaii afternoon.  Our waiter Matt was professional and pleasant.  He explained a few dishes and the Chef's Recommendations.  After getting our drinks and ordering a complimentary soup dish was served.  Chicken Soup with Cabbage.  Very light and refreshing surprise.  We started with the Fresh Rolls ($10.50) that were filled with Shrimp, Pork and Vegetables.  Served with Peanut Sauce.  The presentation was very nice and the rolls were "fresh".  This was a nice light start to our meal.  Next up was the Pad Thai ($20.95) with Chicken.  Wow..what an incredible presentation.  The large Banana Leaf Blossom and webbed egg gave this dish the wow factor.  They use a thicker noodle than most Pad Thai's and the flavor of this dish is very mild.  Good but not great.  Next up was the Chef Recommended Crispy Garlic Chicken ($23.95).  Again a "wow" presentation.  The domed cover was filled with steam when our waiter unveiled the chicken.  Flavor was again ok but not great.  Reminded me of the Orange Chicken you can get at Panda Express for a fraction of the price.  The Yellow Curry with Crab ($35.00) was expensive and we had to pay an extra $4 for Sticky Rice as Jasmine Rice is offered with the dish.  I liked the flavor of this dish but not the price.  I loved the presentation of the food at Noi but only liked the flavors.  Definitely want to get back here again and try a few more dishes.  Everything on the menu looks so good.

So happy to see a Loteria Grill at the Los Angeles International Airport.  I originally blogged about their first location way back in 2011 and the owner who is Jimmy Shaw was kind enough to thank me in the comments section of my blog.  See original blog post below.  On a recent layover in LA I enjoyed a Shredded Beef Burrito and cold beer at Loteria Grill.  When you buy a Taco or Burrito Plate you can enjoy a ice cold Mexican beer for $5.  I went with a Pacifico.  Loved the flavor of this burrito.  Filled with marinated shredded beef that is packed with flavor.  Great salsa too.  There is limited seating around the food court and Loteria has a full bar with around 10 stools.  Was nice to relax and enjoy a burrito and beer before my 5 hour flight back home to Hawaii.   I dreamed about how nice it would be to have a Loteria Grill in Hawaii all the way back home.
