We love Giovanni's Shrimp from the North Shore Food Truck.  My Wife has perfected the recipe at home and with a little hot sauce from the North Shore Truck we can enjoy the flavors and heat in the comfort of our home.  This is one of our favorite meals and to keep our refrigerator stocked with the Original Giovanni's Hot Sauce we take a trip to the North Shore and basically bribe the server to give us containers of the Hot Sauce to take home.

Another night at home enjoying our version of Giovanni's North Shore Shrimp.  My Wife has nailed the recipe and we get the hot sauce direct from the Giovanni truck.  This is one of my all time favorite meals.  As good as going out to the North Shore.

We love the Giovanni's Shrimp Truck on the North Shore of Oahu.  We always order the Shrimp Scampi with Hot Sauce on the side.  I tip big and ask for extra hot sauce to take home so we can use it with our homemade version.  My Wife spent over a year perfecting our recipe which tastes almost identical to the food truck.  She also makes the incredible Garlic Rice too.  When you have the real deal hot sauce at home its like being on the North Shore and eating at the truck without the drive.  This is truly one of our favorite dinners at home.

OK here it is...our version of the famous Giovanni's Shrimp Truck recipe.  Took us many years to get this recipe down to perfection.  The big secret is getting the original Giovanni's Hot Sauce from the truck to dip the Shrimp in.  Every time we visit the truck in Kahuku, I tip the cashier for extra sauce.  We keep it in the refrigerator until we make the shrimp.  For this dinner we used fresh Shrimp from Kauai that was never frozen.  The Shrimp from Kauai are large and sweet.  Perfect for this recipe.

You will be surprised how quick and easy this recipe is to make.  Just remember it took us almost two years to get this down to where it tastes like Giovanni's.

SAUTE FIVE FULL BULBS OF CHOPPED GARLIC IN LOTS OF BUTTER 

WHEN THE GARLIC IS LIGHLY BROWNED IT IS READY FOR THE SHRIMP

FRESH KAUAI SHRIMP WITH SHELLS ON

ADD SHRIMP TO GARLIC

STIR AND COOK A MINUTE OR TWO

ADD ABOUT ONE HALF CUP OF WHITE WINE

SHIRMP TURN RED AND WINE EVAPORATES

ADD JUICE OF HALF OF LEMON

STIR WELL

SERVE WITH GARLIC RICE AND GIOVANNI'S ORIGINAL HOT SAUCE
