Blessed to hit two of our all time favorite restaruants over the weekend.  First was Side Street Inn and now Arancino at The Kahala.  Arancino never lets us down.  The food and service is always great.  Maria the General Manager is the most gracious host with her welcoming bright smile and focus on making your dining experience special.  I knew what I wanted on this night as soon as we walked in the door.  No need to look at the menu.  Caviar with Ebe and Carbonara Pasta.  That's it.  My Wife ordered the Tasting Menu which meant we had a few extra dishes to share.  She loves the Lobster Bisque as do me and my daughter.  Has to be one of the best Lobster Bisques in Hawaii.  Absolutely delicious.  The Caviar with Ebe is one of my favorite appetizers ever.  Creamy raw shrimp topped with Caviar.  This is so good eating slowly with a glass of champagne or chardonnay.  I take my time and savor every bite.  We like the Caprese Salad.  The tomatoes are chilled to perfection giving the dish a light, fresh and cool flavor.  Only wish they would use Heirloom or sliced Tomato.  Seems like I always get the Carbonara with Truffles but on this night they did not have Truffles.  Still enjoyed the pasta less the Truffles.  The Squid Ink Pasta with Calamari was amazing.  The light, slightly spicy sauce makes this one of our favorites.  Definitely would go back again for this and the Carbonara.  There are only a handful of restaurants we go back to time and time again.  Arancino at The Kahala is one of them!

Wow...another incredible dinner at Arancino at The Kahala.  This is now one of our favorite restaurants in Hawaii and we have already booked another reservation for February.  This was a big cheat night for us as we have been trying to stay low carb.  I cannot do low carb here because the pasta is too good.  Worth the carbs 100%.  We started with the complimentary bread laced with Rosemary and served with Pesto and Olive Oil.  The Pesto and bread are perfect together and I just had to have one piece of the two on the plate.  Next up was the Ama Ebi with Caviar.  The sweet raw Molokai Shrimp under the Caviar is what makes this dish shine.  Perfect with the Caviar.  I could not however understand why they don't serve this with some type of bread or toast.  You get a Mother of Pearl spoon and that's it.  Loved it though.
We loved the presentation and flavor of the Haku Lei Salad.  Very light vinaigrette that is delicious.  The Steamed Clams were smaller than our last visit but still very tasty.  The toast served with it was a bit hard and dry though unlike our last visit where it was perfect.  The star of the dinner was definitely the Spaghetti Carbonara with Truffles shaved by the Chef at your table.  The pasta was cooked perfectly and the Carbonara sauce with Poached Egg and Parmesan Crisp makes for one of the best Pasta dishes of my life.  Described in one word; incredible!  Another family favorite is the Spaghetti with Uni.  Even if you do not like Uni, you will love the flavor of this pasta.  This was a GREAT dinner with great service, perfect presentations and big flavors.
