One of my favorite things about Las Vegas is being able to get an In n' Out Burger within minutes of the Aria Hotel and Strip. This $2.25 burger is absolutely the best on the planet. I do not eat a lot of burgers in Hawaii but if I had an In n' Out, I would be there weekly.

I am now a huge lover of Del Frisco's. After three visits (Houston, New York and Las Vegas) I am sold on this chain of steakhouses. The food and service are both fantastic and the Prime Pair Menu at $59 is the best deal I have ever enjoyed at any steakhouse. I pretty much ordered the same things in Las Vegas as I did on my Houston visit. Start with the fresh baked and super warm bread that is simply delicious and hard to stop eating. We went through the entire loaf and had to stop ourselves because we had so much food coming. The Thick Cut Bacon Poive ($15) is the best bacon you will ever taste. Huge thick slice with a Maple Glaze that was devoured by our table. I like the crispy edges. Everyone at our table went for the Prime Pair Menu ($59) which includes an 8oz Hand Cut Filet, Crab Cake, Salad and a Side Dish. We all went for the Wedge Salad because I told everyone it is the best ever. The portion of salad is huge and more than enough for two people but we all go our own. I was so happy to dig in that I forgot to take a photo so the photo shown here is half eaten. I just love the dressing on the salad and the bacon bits are like candy. The salad is served super chilled which really is refreshing. Absolutely love this salad. My steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and it was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The Crab Cake is one of the best ever with large pieces of Crab and very little fillers. All of the Side Dishes were also great. We enjoyed Chateau Mashed Potatoes which include lots of Green Onion and maybe a little butter. These were so good. The Sautéed Wild Mushrooms with Pearl Onions left people saying "wow - so delicious". The Maque Choux is another one of my favorites. Sweet Corn with Green Chilis and Bacon. Love it! The side dishes are large and can be shared with the entire table. We were so full that we barely made it to the Lobster Mac n' Cheese ($18). This huge dish of very cheesy lobster was delicious but I could not get two bites down because I was so full. If you ask me this $59 deal is the best deal going and I really wish they had Del Frisco's in Hawaii. Could not even look at the dessert menu after this meal. We were all so full and very satisfied.

I loved my first visit to Carbone at the Aria Resort in Las Vegas so I booked another reservation well in advance for this trip. Everything was great with the food with the exception of the sticker shock when we received the bill and saw what items marked MP (Market Price) really cost. Turns out the MP on the Fresh Fish (Dover Sole) and Lobster were $100 each! While the dishes were good, I thought this was one of the biggest rip offs in my blog history. That aside, we enjoyed the meal. Started with a great bread basket that contains one of the best Garlic Breads I have ever tasted. Probably could eat ten pieces of this bread. The Spicy Salami which is served with your meal comes sliced thin and there is more than enough for the table. Great flavor and hard to stop eating. The Pickled Cauliflower is a nice contrast to the Salami and Bread. We ordered the Shrimp Scampi appetizer and again it was Market Price (MP). Turned out to be $45 for 6 pieces of shrimp. Great flavor but c'mon $45. The Octopus ($25) was grilled to perfection and delicious. Our waiter who was at the table to steer us toward the Market Price items but missing when the bill came also suggested the Meat Balls ($18). These were absolutely delicious and probably one of the best items we enjoyed on this night. I would definitely order these again and found myself craving them so I am making homemade meat balls tonight for dinner. The Spicy Rigatoni Vodka ($27) is fantastic and probably one of my favorite pasta dishes on this blog. The kitchen split one order into three portions for our table. The $100 Dover Sole was a bit fishy and not worth half the price. Same with the Lobster which was good but nothing to rave about. If you put the pricing aside, this is good food. Service was ok on this visit. Our waiter disappeared half way through our meal and we never saw him again. Don't even think he said thank you. Despite the service lacking fom our waiter and the Market Price sticker shock I still like Carbone and will visit them again and avoid anything that is marked MP unless someone else is paying.

When visiting Las Vegas it is always nice to find new things to do that are family friendly. On this visit I took my girls to Top Golf and we enjoyed several hours of family fun hitting balls and eating some pretty good food. We arrived early in the morning just after opening to find a young and smiling staff eager to get us started. We were escorted to one of the bays on the second floor as the third and fourth floor are reserved for the over 21 crowd. The second floor is for families and the bays began to fill up fast on this level with kids, families and single players. I ventured up to the adult levels and the atmosphere changed to more of an ultra lounge environment with bikini top clad waitresses and bottle service plus two swimming pools. Can only imagine how this place goes off at night but will have to return to experience and write about that. This day was for family and it was time well spent with everyone having a great time. Food was pretty good too.
