PROVA - NEW YORK

PROVA
GRAND CENTRAL TERMINAL
89 E. 42ND STREET
NEW YORK, NY  10017

Grand Central Terminal in New York has a pretty good Food Court under the main ticket area.  We walked around the entire floor and decided to eat at Prova because they had a sit down area with bar.  Pizza also looked pretty good.  We were quickly seating by a smiling waiter and then presented menus.  At the sit down portion of Prova you can only order full pizzas and there are no substitutions or additions to what is on the menu.  We asked for Pepperoni and were lead to the Diavola ($32) with Spicy Soppressata.  A salad would be nice with this I thought so I went for the Kale and Endive Caesar ($10).  This was no Caesar and I hated the Kale and Endive as did my friend.  The waiter saw that we did not touch the salad after a bite and offered to take it off the bill.  The Pizza here was actually pretty good.  A bit thick for my liking but my friend loved it.

I know this is a food blog but if these photos touch one person the way they touch me I will be happy posting them.  Absolutely love the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) in New York.  When I get here I run upstairs to the left and enjoy looking at the French Impressionist paintings.  This to me is art and I just love these paintings.  I can remember the first time I laid eyes on a Monet at the Chicago Museum of Art.   I actually cried.  Ever since then I have been a huge fan of these artists.  Don't know why but this art moves me in a way that I would never imagine.
