If In n' Out Burger is my favorite $2.70 Burger on the planet then the $1.50 Costco Hot Dog is my favorite Hot Dog.  These Dogs are big, meaty and tasty.  Love them with mustard, relish and onions.

I could eat at least one of these bad boys every week but don't.  Wish I could!

LUNCH AND A ROUND OF GOLF

Blessed to enjoy lunch and a round of golf at Oahu Country Club.  Started the round with an Italian Chopped Salad which was darn good and not to filling before playing.  Shot 45 on the back nine with four pars.  Could have had a least three more pars on back but missed easy makable putts.  Front nine was disaster with big trouble in the bunkers.  Finished the day with some super fresh Sashimi that was just so perfect.  Chilled to perfection and melted like butter in your mouth.  Incredible clean flavor.

Once again my employees delivered a delicious lunch to my desk.  This time it was Ono Korean BBQ.  I went with the Spicy Chicken/Spicy Pork Combination ($13) with four choices of vegetables. Loved the veggies and the meats.  Good flavors and large portions.

My guys at work tell me they are going to Webco for lunch.  Now this is interesting to me because I know Webco as being a major distributor of household products and not a restaurant.  Turns out that they have a cafeteria that is open to the public.  Each month they post/print a menu of specials and also have a standard menu.  On this day, Lasagna was the special so I went for it.  Busted up when I saw Mac Salad and Rice served with the Lasagna.   Only in Hawaii.  Lasagna was not bad at all.

Ask me where my favorite Steak House is in Honolulu and I will tell you DK's.  I only order one thing here and it is the Paniolo Rib Eye.  This is the best and most flavorful steak on the Island and it is the top choice of all of my co-workers, family and friends.  I am at a point where don't even look at the menu here.  My routine is simple.  Glass of wine.  Seared Ahi, Caramelized Bacon, Onion Soup or Wedge Salad and the Paniolo Rib Eye.  Done!  Probably one of the most delicious and satisfying meals I could ever ask for.  Really a big favorite.  On this visit I went for the Onion Soup and it was one of the best ever.  Loved it a lot.  The steak as usual was large enough for two and delicious.

Enjoyed Merriman's in Ward Village and would not hesitate to return.  Poke was delicious as was the Beet Salad and Steamed Clams.  A bit pricy but this is Honolulu.  Service could have been better but the place just opened and it looked like they were finding their way.  There was live music during Happy Hour and the place filled up pretty fast during dinner hour on a weeknight.

Disgusting, terrible and yuck are a few ways our family would describe Lam's Garden.  Probably the worst Chinese food we have ever had in our lives.  The food was literally uneatable with the exception of the Crispy Gao Gee and Sweet and Sour Pork. Even those dishes were not that good and we only ate a few bites.  This place was bad.  Really bad.  Did not even want to take the leftovers home.  We started with the Crispy Gao Gee which were not that bad.  Filled with lots of meat and pretty good flavor.  Went down hill when I added some Hot Mustard from the table onto the Gao Gee.  The mustard smelled and tasted like shit.  I kid you not.  Like shit.  My Wife took a smell and almost threw up.  I had to drink tea and water to get the shitty taste out of my mouth.  The Mustard was bad and should not have been on the table.  The Sweet and Sour Pork was next and it was eatable but not great.  I was the only one at the table that ate it as after one bite, my Wife and Daughter said no more.  The Fried Rice arrived and it did not look like Fried Rice.  It had a terrible smell and that ended it for all of us.  Could not eat it.  The Mongolian Beef arrived and I said to myself "WTF".  Looked like a bowl of Tomato Sauce.  The dish was Beef and Onions overloaded in a red sauce.  Uneatable.  Last up was the Chop Suey which was not bad but at this point my Wife and Daughter could not stomach eating here.  We left almost everything on the table and checked out.  We did take home the Sweet and Sour Pork and Gao Gee but ended up throwing it out when we stopped to get a Jamba Juice because we were all still hungry.

Really enjoyed the food, ambiance and service at La Parolaccia Osteria in Long Beach, CA.  Great service and the kitchen really has it going on getting a lot of food out at one time.  Hi praise for the kitchen staff here because they are good. Food was good too.  I nibbled on a little bit of all the appetizers and Linguine and Clams.  All good.  This night was especially nice because we had family here and celebrated my Mom's 86th Birthday. This is a little neighborhood gem that is great for families or a date for two.
