LUNCH AT THE OFFICE
Moving our entire warehouse operation this month. Not much time for lunch and the closest restaurant is Wendy's. Had the Chili which I thought was kind of bland. Not my fave.

PENNE ALLA SPICY VODKA SAUCE

My Wife requested homemade Penne with Vodka Sauce so I granted her wish with my version which we both love. This recipe is delicious and now a family fave.

Another day craving a Banh Mi and Pho. I have free delivery with Door Dash so I went online and ordered from Pho Vietnam. Delivered to my office for lunch. Pretty good

My go to meal after a mainland trip has become a Banh Mi and Pho. My fave is from Bale in Hawaii Kai but for some reason they do not offer delivery service. I ordered online and within 45 minutes had my meal at home. The Banh Mi was not bad but not in same league as Bale which fills the sandwich with more meat, cheese and veggies. The Pho was pretty good.

My reviews of Hawaiian Airlines service are pretty much always the same. Terrible food and basic service. On this flight the Flight Attendant had an attitude and spoke down to customers. I had enough of her after two minutes and did not ask her for anything or engage her for the rest of the flight. Food was terrible so I enjoyed a McDonalds Cheeseburger that I purchased the previous day and stuffed in my backpack. Liked my little pod on the new 787 plane.

Nice lounge with good food and drink options in Terminal A of International Departures at SFO. Opens early like around 7AM which was nice on this day. Nice to be a member of the Priority Pass program which allows access to three lounges in this terminal. This was the only one open when I arrived for my flight and it served its purpose well.

At $225 per person plus $72 for parking Mother's Day Brunch at the Palace Hotel was the most expensive buffet we have eaten in our lives. Food was good though with a great selection. Service was slow during the very busy time and then got much better as the dining room thinned out. We loved the Seafood, Prime Rib and Turkey. Desserts were much better than most buffets. Hats off to the Pastry Chef. Worth the price? Nope but what a beautiful venue and the flowing champagne helped numb my wallet.

I think we found a "go to" place for Cantonese food in San Francisco as we loved R&G Lounge despite our waiter messing up on two different dishes. The big mistake that we lived with was getting served the Salt & Pepper Crab in place of the Spicy Garlic Sauce that we ordered. We still liked the Salt & Pepper Crab but after seeing the Spicy Garlic Crab at the table next to us looking so good, we got a bit disappointed. The other mistake was bringing us the wrong Spareribs. We did have this corrected. Food here is really good and we will definitely be back to try a variety of different menu items. The restaurant is clean and service is fast and friendly.
