Another almost flawless dinner at Margotto Hawaii.  Damn I love this place.  I say almost flawless because we tried a new dish that was Risotto with Abalone.  The Abalone smelled fishy and the dish was terrible.  First ever time I didn't like a dish here.  Other than that, they were firing on all cylinders with some of the best food ever.  Love the Chef and staff here as they really take care of us.  On this visit Chef Kenji from Tokyo was here and he joined us for a photo.  I met Kenji at Margotto Tokyo in Japan.  Great guy and Chef.  Every time I eat here my eyes roll back and I just say "wow".  Some of the best tastes of my life.

This was one of the best meals of my life.  Not only did Chef Shiori surprise us with a special Mr. Drew Santos menu, but our old favorites shined with the amazing flavors that have made Margotto Hawaii my favorite restaurant in Hawaii.  Every dish was perfect with flavors you cannot get anywhere else.  Mind blowing delicious especially when you add Foie Gras and Truffles.  The Pastas here are the best in Hawaii with the Bolognese, Cacio Pepe and Uni Tomato Cream being world class.  Chef's Special Filet Mignon was INCREDIBLE.  Cut like butter and melted in my mouth with Foie Gras and a truffle sauce adding to the party of flavors.  One of the best steaks ever!  All I can say is I already want to go back.  Love the food, staff, service and Chef at Margotto Hawaii.  Highly recommend you try Margotto and go "family style" so everyone can enjoy a variety of dishes.

We were not even done with our second course at Margotto Hawaii and I was already thinking about coming back.  This is hands down our favorite restaurant in Hawaii for the past three years.  We are at a point where we don't even have to look at the menu and just order our favorites.  Love bringing friends here because they always love it.  This dinner was to discuss my upcoming golf tournament which raises money for cancer research and the University of Hawaii Cancer Center with our planning team.  We started with some bubbly which I highly recommend.  Perfect with the Caviar Egg which is one of my favorites dishes.  The Prosciutto which is hand sliced in the dining room is also a great starter and delicious.  Next up is an absolute must at Margotto.  The Creamy Cheesy Mashed Potatoes.  I top the potatoes with Foie Gras and then a good shaving of Truffles.  This is worthy of a death bed meal and one of the best bites of my life.  The Risotto with Foie Gras and yes, more Truffles is amazing.  One of the best Risottos if not THE BEST in Hawaii.  Perfectly cooked every time.  The Pastas here are amazing and THE BEST in Hawaii.  We ordered four Pastas and enjoyed them Family Style so everyone could have a taste of each one.  On this night the Cacio Pepe with Truffles was the table favorite.  The Bolognese is THE BEST in Hawaii and my personal fave.  The Tomato Uni Pasta is THE BEST Uni Pasta in Hawaii.  Amazing!  Last up is the Lemon Tomato which is also great.  Love the staff and service at Margotto and Chef Shiori is a joy!
