Really enjoyed our Brunch at Bar Podmore.  This is a beautiful little spot in Downtown Honolulu.  Finishes and decor are first class and a treat for your eyes.  Seating is a bit tight but on this visit, we had a small section all to ourselves.  I ordered the Fried Chicken and Waffles.  The Waffle was actually at Hash Brown Potato and the Chicken was Strips.  I was thinking traditional Fried Chicken and Waffles and this was a bit of a twist.  The twist worked as the flavors popped.  Loved the Truffle Gravy.  I ate everything on the plate including the great tasting Pickles and Onions.  Would definitely order this again.  My Wife enjoyed the Carbonara which was excellent as was the service!

I don't get the menu, food or flavors at this restaurant and probably will never go back.  Have been here twice and was disappointed with the food both times.  Service however on this visit was excellent with a very friendly and welcoming staff.  Looking over the Brunch Menu and I thought it was a mess of things that did not sound very appetizing.  Decided to try the Smoked Meat Carbonara.  The dish looked nice but I have never had a Carbonara with Pea Shoots, Snap Peas, Lemon and Onions.  Didn't taste like a Carbonara to me but the Bucatini Pasta was cooked nicely.  Didn't think this was worth the carbs so offered most of it to my Wife who ordered the Corned Beef and Kalo Hash and was not happy or satisfied.  We both said we would never return.

Enjoyed a rare Brunch at Tango Contemporary Cafe with my buddy visiting from the Mainland.  

Don't know what it was, but the service and attitude of employees on this visit was much better than my previous visits.  Really good.  I had my mind set for Fried Rice and Eggs Benedict and then the waiter walked by our table carrying a dish that looked amazing.  To my surprise, it was the Loco Loco Benedict ($12) which I had totally overlooked on the menu.  Both me and my friend ordered the same dish and it was delicious.  The Loco Loco Benedict with Fried Rice and Braised Beef with Hollandaise Sauce is the bomb!  Loved it.  Especially good with a glass or two....or three of bubbly.

 My buddy from Californias last day in Hawaii and we ended up at Orchids at the Halekulani for Sunday Brunch.  At over $80 per person this is an expensive brunch but the quality is high and selection is good.  I can never get my monies worth at a buffet.  Just cannot eat that much food.  What you see here is everything that I ate and some was left on the plate.  Food was delicious.  Nice piano player and beautiful location make this a nice spot for special occasions.
