Blessed to end the week at my Happy Place.  After a very busy, hectic and stressful week preparing for a lot of events, enjoying record sales at the company and building a new Training Center, it was nice to relax and decompress at The Kahala.  Arrived and found the friendly bar staff smiling and asking if I wanted Chardonnay and Sashimi.  Without hesitation my answer was yes.  Took my usual seat and absorbed  the ocean view, beach and happy couples and families enjoying their summer vacation in paradise.  Thoughts flooded my mind of how blessed I am and the accomplishments of the week.  Then came the thoughts of what I needed to do.  My mind was racing.  Had to stop and say a prayer to clear my mind and get into a peaceful place of just taking it all in and letting things go for a while.  Went into a zone and was very happy.

This is one of my all-time favorite places to enjoy a beautiful view and Prime Rib and Seafood Buffet in the world.  This is my happy place and I would dine here every week if I could.  I don't eat a lot at buffets, but I enjoy the things I like most.  Sashimi, Sushi, Salad, Prime Rib and Crab.  There are many more items but this is what I usually stick to.  Didn't touch the desserts on this visit but did enjoy a few glasses of vino with my meal.

The Kahala Resort is my Happy Place and I am blessed that it is so close to my house.  This visit was extra special because my Daughter was visiting from San Francisco.  Nice to spend a few hours with her catching up on life in such a beautiful location.  As usual, I enjoyed Sashimi and a Chardonnay which is the perfect pair on a warm Hawaii afternoon.  I decided to try the Turkey Club Sandwich and holy cow, it was the best in my life.  This sandwich was perfect and delicious.  Served with some of the best French Fries on the Island.  My Daughter ordered an Acai Bowl from the Pool Bar and it was served in a Pineapple.  She loved it and didn't talk while eating it.  Just mowed it with a smile.  Being at the Kahala is always special but to share these moments with my Daughter was extra special.  Truly blessed.

Always nice to stop at The Kahala on the way home on a Friday.  This is my happy place and sitting and reflecting on the week always relaxes me and clears my mind.  No better place to be and the Ahi Sashimi is so good!

My Happy Place in Hawaii is the Kahala Resort.  I often come for a late lunch on Fridays alone just to relax, reflect and take in the beauty of the resort.  Love the people and food here.  One of the best places in all of Hawaii and somewhere I hope I will be visiting to the day I die.

Fridays during Lent mean eating no meat or chicken.  My solution is the Seafood Buffet at The Kahala Resort.  Love it!

My Daughter is home for the Thanksgiving Holiday and the first thing she wanted was a 

Poke Bowl. Next she wanted a sunset cocktail and meat.  When she said cocktails, I immediately booked us a table at the Plumeria Beach House for the Seafood and Prime Rib Buffet.  Prime Rib on this night was really delicious.  Great flavor.  Also loved the Crab Legs, Sashimi and Sushi.  I don't eat much at buffets, but what I eat here is quality and the stuff I really like. Love this place!

Back to my happy place for a Friday late lunch.  Love sitting here alone and contemplating my week and what I need to do next in life, work and play.  This normally relaxing and reflecting time was ruined when an acquaintance of mine who was visibly drunk off his ass decided to sit with me and spew drunkin tales and unnecessary bull shit.  Suffice to say I cut this lunch short and went home to my doggy.

The Kahala Resort is my happy place and I just love enjoying a quiet lunch at the Plumeria Beach House.  I actually sit adjacent to the bar at one of two or three outdoor tables.  After a busy week of work, this is my Pau Hana Friday spot where I relax and decompress.

Last week I deviated from just going home after work and stopped by the The Kahala Hotel to enjoy a late lunch.  I felt so comfortable and relaxed after a hectic week and said to myself, maybe I should do this every Friday.  Well I made it back again the following week and once again enjoyed some fresh Sashimi and the Beach House Salad.  This time I requested all Romaine Lettuce in place of the fufu stuff that is bitter.  Ahhh..so good with real lettuce.

Had an old friend join me so it was nice to sit back, check out the view and catch up on our lives while reminiscing a bit about the past.
