To me this is one of the most perfect dinners. Caviar with Ebe, Truffle Mushroom Pizza and Carbonara at Arancino at The Kahala. Three out of this world dishes that are always delicious and satisfying. Shirley loves the Uni Pasta as much as I love the Carbonara. Also love the Risotto as an appetizer for the table. This is our favorite Italian restaurant in Hawaii!

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Hawaii. Arancino at The Kahala is consistantly great. Food and service are top notch. I love the Ebe with Caviar. Chilled raw Shrimp covered in Caviar. A taste of heaven. The Carbonara is the best in Hawaii. Add fresh shaved Truffles to take this dish over the top. Delicious! The Salumi Platter was the bomb with super fresh meats and a little cheese. Pizza always a winner here too.

DINNER AT HOME
My Wife has mastered her Spaghetti Carbonara recipe. As good or better than any restaurant in Hawaii. Pretty perfect if you ask me. Crazy that it is better than several restaurants we visited in Rome and Venice. Learned the recipe from a Cooking School in Tuscany. This is one of my all time favorite dinners at home and well worth the carbs!

SPAGHETTI CARBONARA
DINNER AT HOME
Spaghetti Carbonara when done right is one of my favorite meals. Lucky that my Wife has mastered the recipe and process so we can enjoy this at home. Using good Guanciale and Pecorino Cheese are the key. This is as good or better than any restaurant version. I added Truffles and Truffle Caviar for that wow factor.

Another perfect, delicious and very satisfying dinner at Arancino at The Kahala. The Ebe with Caviar is my favorite appetizer. Chilled raw Kauai Prawns covered in Caviar. I savor and love each bite of this. Once again, I went with the Carbonara. Hands down the best Carbonara in Hawaii. Worth the carbs and I finished the entire bowl. My friend enjoyed the Mushroom Risotto which is mixed in a wheel of Parmesan table side. Love this place!

We all loved our Pasta dishes at La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly in Santa Clara. The Pizza was good but the crust was not crisp in the middle. Toppings slid off which I did not like.
