We enjoyed brunch at Liko's so much that we immediately made reservations to try their dinner menu the following week.  Was not disappointed as once again the food, service and view delivered.  We started with the Poke which I love because it is served with fresh Avocado, Onions and a slightly sweet sauce.  The Crab Cakes were good but really did not Wow anyone at the table.  Needed a little bit more sauce.  The Mezze Plate was devoured by the table.  There was really a little something for everyone on the plate.  The Heirloom Tomato Salad was good but needed more dressing to make the flavors pop.  I went for the Prime Rib and it was cooked perfectly and delicious.  The Mashed Potatoes were amazing.  If I were not trying to eat low carb, I would have ate them all and asked for more.  The Fresh Catch Kona Kampachi was really good.  My daughter loved the Couscous and her boyfriend that does not eat a lot of seafood loved the Grilled Shrimp and Scallops.  He loved the Butter Sauce.  Everything was really good here and the entire table was happy and satisfied.  The came the desserts that put this dinner over the top.  The Rocky Road Cookie Dough rocked my world and I threw out the low carb crap after taking one bite.  Then I went onto the two desserts and couldn't stop eating.

PAN SEARED KONA KAMPACHI

DINNER AT HOME

Don't always see fresh Kona Kampachi at the market so I grabbed some at $19.99 per pound.
Not cheap but Mahi Mahi was over $20 per pound.  Did a simple pan sear and served with a sauce made from White Wine, Chicken Stock, Butter, Cream, Garlic and Ginger.  This was totally restaurant quality and delicious.

CRAB CRUSTED KONA KAMPACHI

DINNER AT HOME

Surprised to see fresh Kona Kampachi on sale at the market.  Normally you only see this fish in restaurants in Honolulu.  Looked super fresh so I bought some.  Got home and googled some recipes.  Saw one photo of the Kampachi with a crab crust on top.  A light went on and I remembered we had leftover Crab Cakes in the refrigerator.  Sautéed the Kampachi in butter and topped with the Crab Cakes that I reheated in butter and crushed down to make it spreadable.  Topped the Kampachi with the Crab and then made a White Wine, Shallots, Butter, Cream, Butter Sauce that made this a fine dining restaurant dinner at home on the lanai.  Damn this was delicious!
