We recently visited Venice, Italy and our host was simply amazing.  When his family visited Hawaii, you can bet that I wanted to repay him with some Hawaiian hospitality.  Took him and his family to Orchids at the Halekulani.  Enjoyed an amazing dinner, champagne, great service and incredible view and sunset.  Does not get much better than this for a sunset dinner.

The highlights of this meal for me was the Keahole Lobster Tagliatelle and Mushroom Risotto.  Hands down one of the best Risotto's of my life.  We actually finished the plate and ordered another one for the table.  Amazing!

L&L HAWAIIAN BBQ - HEALTHY MEAL

SOMEWHERE IN KONA

Building out our new Kona warehouse and there are not too many food options around the area.  Contractors love L&L Hawaiian BBQ so I treated them to lunch.  I went with a more healthy plate lunch of BBQ Chicken and Salad.  No Rice or Mac Salad to stay low carb.  This was actually very good and I would definitely return to L&L!

Fresh Mahi Mahi went down in price this week so I grabbed some for dinner.  When Mahi Mahi is this fresh, you really just need to sauté or grill it with salt and pepper and maybe a light sauce.

Living in Hawaii means we are blessed with incredible fresh Ahi.  I cannot resist a bright red glossy slab and when I see it looking like this just have to buy it.  I cut it thin and enjoy with a little Shoyu and Wasabi along with Avocado.

LINGUINE WITH TRUFFLE MUSHROOM CREAM SAUCE

DINNER AT HOME

Have not made many pasta dinners since going on a low carb lifestyle.  This Linguine with Truffle Mushroom Sauce was definitely worth the carbs.  A little Sashimi and Avocado appetizer and a glass of vino on the lanai and I was very happy!
