BA-LE SANDWICH

Don't know why, but every time we travel to the mainland or abroad I crave a Banh Mi Sandwich and Pho.  Ba-Le is my "go to" place in Honolulu.  Looks like they closed the Ba-Le in Hawaii Kai which is the best on Oahu.  Ordered this takeout from another location on Door Dash.  Not as good as Hawaii Kai but it did hit the spot!

Seems like every time we return from a mainland trip, our first cravings are for a Banh Mi and Pho from Bale Sandwich.  This is one of my favorite sandwiches on the planet and the Hawaii Kai location does it best.  I order the Special Sandwich with Cheese, no mayo and extra veggies.  They do it up right for me every single time.  Also order the Pho with extra onions and they do that too.  Great service and the food rocks at Bale!

Bale definitely makes my favorite Banh Mi Sandwich in Hawaii.  Love the Special Sandwich with Cheese and always order with extra veggies (Pickled Daikon and Carrots).  This sandwich is packed with flavor and cannot be beat when the bread is fresh.  I also like the Spring Rolls and Pho here.  Some of the best on Oahu.

I was craving Vietnamese Pho big time but did not want to eat the noodles to stay low carb.

Enjoyed all the Rare Steak, Brisket, Bean Sprouts, Onion, Green Onion, Jalapeños, Basil and Cilantro in the delicious broth.  Wow....this was so good even without the noodles.

Love having Rare Steak and Brisket Pho from Bale.  This is a go to lunch at the office and it is satisfying and filling yet not too heavy.  Always add a lot of Sriracha Sauce for heat.

I love Bale Sandwich and especially their version of the Vietnamese Noodle Soup called Pho.  This is one of my favorite meals for lunch at the office.  Something about having this soup that relaxes me.  Love the flavor of the clear broth which is fresh marrow boned and brisket flanks that are simmered overnight with fresh herbs.  Served with Bean Sprouts, Fresh Basil, Jalapeños and Noodles.  I always get the Rare Steak with Brisket and add a ton of Sriracha Sauce.  I love Pho but most recipes and restaurants use a lot of MSG in their broth.  A restaurant owner told me that it would not taste good without the MSG.  This meal is around $9.
