Wow....I love this sandwich.  The Bale Special Sandwich with Cheese, no mayo and extra vegetables.  One of my all-time favorite sandwiches on the planet!

Seems like every time we return from a trip abroad, the family craves Pho and a Banh Mi Sandwich.  Bale is our go to place and the Bahn Mi here is the BEST!  I always order the Special Sandwich with Cheese, no mayo with extra veggies.  The Hawaii Kai Bale does it perfectly and makes what I think is the Best Banh Mi in Honolulu.  My Daughter loves the Beef Ball Pho and I go for the Rare Steak Pho.  Always enjoy the Spring Rolls too.  This is one of my favorite spots in Hawaii.

Bale definitely makes my favorite Banh Mi Sandwich in Hawaii.  Love the Special Sandwich with Cheese and always order with extra veggies (Pickled Daikon and Carrots).  This sandwich is packed with flavor and cannot be beat when the bread is fresh.  I also like the Spring Rolls and Pho here.  Some of the best on Oahu.

The Ba-Le Special Sandwich is one of my favorite sandwiches in Hawaii.  I order it with American Cheese, no mayo and extra pickled vegetables.  Add lots of Sriracha Sauce for heat and flavor.         So good when the bread is warm and fresh.

One of my absolute favorite sandwiches in Hawaii is the Special Sandwich w/Cheese no mayo with extra vegetables from Bale Sandwich.  When the bread is really fresh this sandwich cannot be beat for a Banh Mi in Hawaii.  The fresh Pickled Vegetables, Cucumber and Cilantro put this sandwich over the top.  Add a lot of Sriracha Sauce and it gets even better.

Love the Banh Mi Special Sandwich at Ba-Le.  Have this for lunch at my desk quite often.

The sandwich is filled with Meats, Pate and Pickled Vegetables.  I order mine with American Cheese, Extra Vegetables and no mayo.  Also add a lot of Srirahca Sauce.

Readers of his blog know that I crave a good Italian Sandwich, Sub or Hoagie.  Fact is that there just is not a good Sub Shop anywhere on the Island.  We do however have some very good Vietnamese Sandwiches served up at Ba-Le Sandwich Shops all over Oahu.  My go to sandwich at Ba-Le is the Special Sandwich with Cheese - no mayo and extra vegetables ($7.70).  I top the sandwich with lots of Sriracha Sauce and the flavor is pure heaven.  I love the pickled carrots and daikon in the sandwich.  They add so much flavor and crunch.  The meats are a mystery to me.  Never have asked whats in the sandwich.  There is what looks like ham and what makes this sandwich for me is a nice slice of Pate. The Pate is creamy and so good. My other favorites are Pho and Summer Rolls.  Probably have a bowl of Pho at least once a month from Ba-Le.  Love the broth and flavor especially on a cooler Hawaiian day.

BaLe Sandwiches is one of our favorite lunch spots.  Cannot count how many times I have eaten here.  Normally order Vietnamese soup called Pho or one of their sandwiches. I absolutely love the Special Sandwich with Cheese.  For around $6 you get a good size sandwich that fills me up for the day.  I order the Special Sandwich without mayo.  While the mayo does add another layer of flavor, I prefer to order the sandwich without it.  BaLe makes their own bread.  When it is fresh, it is the best french roll in town. When it is not fresh, they are like rocks that break up all over the place.  The Special Sandwich has at least three types of meat and a thin layer of liver pate that really adds flavor.  I really don't know what the meats are, but they taste great.  The meat, pate and cheese are covered with pickled vegetables and slices of cucumber and cilantro.  Simply delicious!
