Another perfect dinner at Margotto Hawaii. This is definitely my favorite restaurant on Oahu and while dining here last night, we were already planning when we could come back. Just that good! I always begin the meal with the Caviar Egg. A perfect combination of textures and flavors that always satisfies. The Truffle Infused Au Gratin Style Mashed Potatoes are from heaven. Add Foie Gras and Truffles to these and you have one of the best dishes of all time. We literally lick the bowl clean. The Pastas here are the best in Hawaii. The Bolognese shines with flavor and the Uni Tomato Cream Sauce Pasta takes Uni to another level. With this Pasta, you really get the Uni flavor and it is delicious. I always let the staff choose my wines and they are always spot on with both Red and White from France, Italy and Napa.

Always nice to stop at The Kahala on the way home on a Friday. This is my happy place and sitting and reflecting on the week always relaxes me and clears my mind. No better place to be and the Ahi Sashimi is so good!

My Wife's Sweet and Sour Pork is better than any Chinese restaurant in Hawaii. Fresh Pork, Vegetables, light breading and sauce make this one of my fave home cooked meals. You can really taste the Pork which is nice.

BBQ PORK CHOPS

My Wife makes these Pork Chops that are so good. A family favorite that always satisfies. The Spicy Finadene Sauce adds great flavor and a nice kick of heat. One of my fave home cooked meals for sure. The secret is marinating the Chops in Mama Sita's Sauce before grilling them.

SPAGHETTI WITH MEAT SAUCE
DINNER AT HOME
Back from a quick trip to the Mainland and I wanted some Pasta at home. Made a meat sauce with Beef, Pork, Italian Sausage, Onions, Celery, Carrots, San Marzano Tomatoes, Wine, Oregano, Garlic and Basil. Turned out really good and served up with lots of Parmesan Cheese.

I like Panya Bistro because of the outdoor dog friendly seating, smiling and happy servers and really good food. I am amazed that they can pull off a menu that is so large and diverse. You can really get anything here and most dishes I have tried have all been good. On this visit I enjoyed the Sautéed Fish in White Wine and Butter. While I was surprised that it had a light batter and seemed fried, the flavor of the fish and sauce was fantastic. Really loved this dish.
My Wife had the Chef Salad and was a bit disappointed with the Crab as it was a big mush of mayonnaise and the meats did not seem fresh. She barely touched it. Still like this place.

HAWAIIAN AIRLINES - LONG BEACH TO HONOLULU
I love the Long Beach airport. What a joy compared to LAX. The open air, no jet ways and laid back vibe is perfect when you are traveling on business or pleasure. Service on Hawaiian Airlines was really good on this flight with the Flight Attendants providing great service. Food however was the same for Hawaiian. Shitty!
