Love flying into and out of Long Beach rather than Los Angeles (LAX).  While you don't get the lay flat seats on Hawaiian, the stress free Long Beach airport is worth it.  Service was ok and as usual, the food was nothing to get excited about.

I love the Long Beach airport.  What a joy compared to LAX.  The open air, no jet ways and laid back vibe is perfect when you are traveling on business or pleasure.  Service on Hawaiian Airlines was really good on this flight with the Flight Attendants providing great service.  Food however was the same for Hawaiian.  Shitty!

If you ever have a choice of flying in and out of Los Angeles or Long Beach, choose Long Beach.  This airport rocks because it is small, hip, clean and so easy to get in and out of.  Forget LAX and go LGB!  As for Hawaiian Airlines, they use the smaller planes that do not have the lay flat seats.  As readers of my blog know, I am not a fan of the food on Hawaiian Airlines and once again it was under whelming.  Service was really good though with a crew that provided exceptional (for Hawaiian) customer service.
