Spent a great day supporting Kahuku High School at their 2nd Annual Golf Tournament. What a great group of people at Kahuku starting with Coach Sterling Carvalho and Coach Reggie Torres.

True gentlemen who have spent a lifetime teaching and mentoring the incredible students at Kahuku.

Kahuku is family and it is so refreshing to see everyone come together for the community.

My Wife cooked up this delicious meal and we loved it. Pretty simple dish with Ground Turkey, Choi Sum, Peppers and a Crispy Egg. Nice flavor with a Garlic Oyster Sauce.

Loved our round of golf and the Brunch at Hoakalei Country Club. The new Clubhouse features Reflections Restaurant and the food here is good. I had the Crab Cake Benedict and it was out of this world good. Great tasting Crab Cake on a Puffed Pastry and covered in a perfect hollandaise. This is one of those dishes where after every bite you say "wow, this is good". And the Potatoes - crispy and so tasty with the Onions and Peppers. This was a great meal with great service!

LUNCH AT THE OFFICE

I was going to eat light this week and try to drop a few pounds. Then my customer brings this lunch from Jollibee to my office. Spicy Fried Chicken, Corn, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy and an extra container of Gravy to dip the Chicken in. My Goodness this is "Chicken Crack". Totally addicting and delicious. The Spicy Chicken really does have a nice kick of heat and the Chicken is totally moist. When you dip the Chicken into the Pepper Gravy it is Chicken Heaven. This is the BEST Fried Chicken and Gravy ever. I could eat this every day of the week. Try Jollibee Fried Chicken and Gravy if you have one near you. This is a chain from the Philippines with restaurants in Hawaii and California.

We had some really good Pepper Steak while in San Diego. My Wife decided to make some at home and believe me this was delicious. Nice Pepper flavor with lots of Grilled Onions.

Had to finish the Ground Turkey that I used to make Tacos so I made Burritos. Layered Refried Beans onto a Flour Tortilla and then topped with Ground Turkey, Onions, Cheese, Lettuce and Hot Sauce. This was so simple to make and delicious.

Opened the refrigerator and saw a pound of Ground Turkey. Decided to make Tacos since we had everything needed plus some leftover Pico de Gallo. Added Onions, Jalapeño, and Taco Seasoning to the Turkey and then topped with Lettuce, Cheese, Pico and Hot Sauce. These were great and just as good if not better than Ground Beef Tacos.

My first two visits to Tin Roof Maui were great. Food was delicious. Decided to try the Poke Bowl on this visit and was surprised to find that it sucked. Probably one of the worst Poke Bowls I have ever tasted. The Poke was tasteless, tough and chewy. There was little or no seasoning on the fish or rice. With each bite I said to myself "this sucks". I asked a co-worker who ordered the same Poke Bowl what he thought and he said it was terrible and then showed me his bowl with pieces set aside because they were uneatable. He actually poured Soy Sauce, Hot Sauce and something else he had in the refrigerator on top of his Poke to try to add flavor.

Great to see the Houston Rockets play the Los Angeles Clippers in Hawaii. The NBA in Hawaii was a treat with action on the court and in the stands.

For some reason I have been craving a Gyro Sandwich so I satisfied that craving by going to Leo's Taverna for lunch. Ordered the Gyro Sandwich and loved it. Marinated spiced Lamb and Beef with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and Tzatziki Sauce.

Loved Vein at Kaka'ako. I had the Classic Napolitana Pasta and it was incredible. One of the best Pasta dishes I have ever eaten in Honolulu. Pasta was cooked perfectly and the flavors popped.

Could not stop eating it and could have eaten another plate of this delicious Pasta. My friend enjoyed the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad and loved it too. Cannot wait to return for dinner menu and I want that Pasta again. Service was fast and friendly!
