The Spicy Chicken Sandwich "Animal Style". sounded so good.  Double Fried Spicy Chicken with Fried Egg and Pork Belly.  I took one bite and really didn't want another.  Ate less than half of this sandwich and gave the other half to a coworker.  Not my fave.

My first two visits to Tin Roof Maui were great.  Food was delicious.  Decided to try the Poke Bowl on this visit and was surprised to find that it sucked.  Probably one of the worst Poke Bowls I have ever tasted.  The Poke was tasteless, tough and chewy.  There was little or no seasoning on the fish or rice.  With each bite I said to myself "this sucks".  I asked a co-worker who ordered the same Poke Bowl what he thought and he said it was terrible and then showed me his bowl with pieces set aside because they were uneatable.  He actually poured Soy Sauce, Hot Sauce and something else he had in the refrigerator on top of his Poke to try to add flavor.

Back on Maui and another lunch at Tin Roof Maui.  Damn this place is good.  I had the Fried Chicken Sandwich ($7) and it was delicious.  The sandwich was huge and I could only finish about 2/3 of it.  Just wish they put more of the cabbage on the bottom.  Once again we ordered online and paid with a credit card.  We received a confirmation text within seconds and then were texted again when the food was ready for pickup.  This makes it so easy and convenient!

My warehouse on Maui raves about the Tin Roof Maui which is a small hole in the wall that serves lunch only.  Place is always packed so we ordered online and picked up.  System works great with text messages that confirm your order and then tell you when it is ready.  I enjoyed the Garlic Shrimp which is served with Rice and Cabbage.  Shrimp was good but you really needed the Hot Sauce to kick this dish up a notch.  The Mochico Chicken got raves reviews from my co-workers too.

UPDATE: 10/19 went back and tried the Poke Bowl.  On this day it was terrible.  No seasoning or flavor and the fish was chewy.
