The Greek Marina in Hawaii Kai sits near the marina and is a perfect place to relax for lunch or dinner. With indoor and outdoor seating you can choose to enjoy the worlds greatest weather outside or air conditioned comfort inside. There is a walk up counter in the middle of the restaurant. Think this is where you can order take out. When we entered an employee greeted us and said we could take a table anywhere in the restaurant. We went for a window seat overlooking the outdoor patio. We do not each much Greek food so I wanted to try a traditional appetizer. Went with the Dolmades ($6.95). These are grape leaves wrapped around rice, tomato and spices. Served with a yogurt sauce. I liked the first one that I ate but the smell of the grape leaf did not sit well. I peeled off the grape leaf on the second one and just ate the rice mixture inside. Not bad but we would not order this again. We all enjoyed the Gyro Sandwich here ($6.95) or ($9.95) with a salad. This is a fresh and delicious sandwich and very filling for $7. The Gyro is a blend of lean Roasted Beef and Lamb. Served on Pita and topped with crisp lettuce, tomato, red onion and yogurt dressing. Delicious and filling.
