Love the Banh Mi Special Sandwich at Ba-Le.  Have this for lunch at my desk quite often.

The sandwich is filled with Meats, Pate and Pickled Vegetables.  I order mine with American Cheese, Extra Vegetables and no mayo.  Also add a lot of Srirahca Sauce.

Not the best Korean food but eatable.  Probably would not go back here again for Korean.

I enjoyed the Brilliant Ox.  Receptionist was amazing with greeting, seating and just asking how my day was.  Totally into providing exceptional service and experience.  Waiter was good too.  Had a little deja vu when I entered the place.  The Pearl Nightclub came back to my mind once I saw the bar.  I liked the menu being small with lots of different choices.  As a restaurant owner, I thought the prices were incredibly reasonable given the location, quality and portion size.  We started with the Crispy Ali'i Mushrooms ($11).  These were good.  The Brilliant Ox Fries ($11) with the Oxtail Gravy were delicious and could be addicting.  LOVED the Golden Marinated Beets ($11).  Good portion and flavor.  I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich ($13).  Not too spicy but I liked the flavor and house made pickles.  My friend ordered the Beer Battered Fish Sandwich ($15).  She said it was all breading and very little fish.  Did not care for it but boy did it look good and big.  The Green Goddess Salad with Roasted Chicken ($15) was very good according to my Daughter.  My other friend ordered the Ox Burger ($14.50) and seemed to really enjoy it.  Looking forward to returning to The Brilliant Ox for lunch or dinner.

King Crab is one of my favorite foods in the World.  This dinner was perfecto and so delicious.  

Blessed to be able to enjoy food like this at home.

Having owned and operated a Mexican Restaurant we have some experience cooking Mexican food.

I would put our Shredded Beef up against ANY restaurant in Hawaii and many on the Mainland.

The process takes hours and hours but the result is a sweet, succulent and delicious beef that is perfect for Tacos, Tostadas and Taquitos.  One of my favorite dishes in all the World but something I don't get too often because the process takes so long and includes a lot of ingredients.  Always make our own fresh Pico de Gallo, Guacamole and Salsa which is also awesome!

There were some dishes I loved at Senia and some that disappointed.  Overall the dinner and service was good.  Not sure if I would run back here again for dinner but maybe will try for lunch one day.  We were seated in a small booth separated from the main dining room and looking at the legs of patrons sitting at the counter.  Could peer over the counter a bit to see the kitchen staff working which was interesting.  The beginning of the meal blew my mind. Ahi Tuna on a buttery Brioche.  Incredible flavor and delicious.  The Poke Crackers were also delicious. With these two dishes down I thought I had found a favorite new restaurant.  Then came the Chicken Liver Mousse.  It smelled horrible and tasted even worse.  Not one of us could eat more than a small bite of this and it was given back to the waitress 98% untouched.  My girls did however eat all the toast that came with the Mousse.  This was one of the worst tasting dishes on this blog this year and one of the worst ever.  The BBQ Beets with Avocado got the meal back on track.  We all liked this dish and would order it again and again.  The Hamachi Tataki looked pretty cool and was fun to open and see what was inside.  The Hamachi however smelled and tasted fishy.  I could only eat one bite but the Wife finished it all.  The Sweet Corn Ravioli was fantastic.  A dish that I would definitely order again.  The Papardelle with Duck Ragu was also delicoius.  My Daughter was sold on the Tomahawk Steak Special because it came with Onion Rings.  Problem is the Steak arrived with no Onion Rings.  We inquired with the server and in a few minutes the coolest presentation of Onion Rings arrived.  The Onion Rings were FANTASTIC!  One of the best parts of the meal.  The Steak was good too but by the time it came we were so full from all of the other dishes that we could barely put a dent in it.  Ended up taking it home.  Lots of good things here and can really tell the Chef cares about what goes on his plates.  Just a few things we did not like out of many that we did like.

Enjoyed an unexpected lunch with by Daughter.  A trip to Kahala Mall landed us at KuraKura Sushi.

This revolving Sushi Bar is good but not my favorite.  While I loved a few things on this day, the Tuna did not taste fresh.  First time I could not eat two pieces of Tuna at a Sushi Bar.  While this disappointed me, the Hamachi with Avocado and Crab was amazing.  Now one of my faves!

Thought the pricing here was a bit high.  Our lunch tab was $50.  What the heck, you are in a mall with high rent.
