RAMEN ON THE HANGANG RIVER
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA
Wow....what a magical evening on the Hangang River in Seoul with my wife and daughter. Who would have thought that eating a bowl of cheap Ramen would be one of the coolest and most memorable family nights of our lives. My daughter read about doing this and it was on her bucket list. I had no idea what she was so excited about when we arrived on the river to find a convenience store with a line out the door. People were lining up to purchase Ramen Noodles, drinks and snacks before a Drone Show. My daughter did the shopping and purchased regulars and spicy noodles, boiled eggs, meat sticks and a beer for her and wine for me. We then went downstairs and joined the dozens of people cooking their noodles in the machines that line the dining area. We were lucky to get a table and just sat there taking it all in and eating our noodles. So simple, yet so magical at the same time. A moment in time where all of us were so happy to be together in Korea just eating Ramen. Following this up with a Drone Show was pretty cool too.
