Like Tacos el Gordo in Las Vegas, Pizza Rock was on my hit list and a must stop on my personal Las Vegas food tour. I arrived early to avoid the crowds and was quickly greeted and seated. My waitress was great. Always smiling and making sure I was enjoying my meal. The menu was heavy and was actually a real vinyl album cover with the record still inside. Pretty cool but a bit heavy for a menu. I started with the Meatballs which were highly rated and recommended. They were fantastic. Loaded with flavor and the Marinara Sauce put these over the top. Definitely a must try when dining here. Of course I had to order the Margherita Pizza which is the World Pizza Cup Winner, Naples, Italy. Only 73 of these bad boys are made per day so get here early if you want to try the World Champ. This is a simple but delicious Pizza with San Marzano Tomatoes, Mozzarella Fior di Latte, Basil, EVOO and Sea Salt. Liked the flavors but the cheese slid off the pie and the entire center just flopped.
Kind of a mess to eat. Wish it were a bit more crisp in the middle but this is the type of Pizza it is. Think I would go for a piece of the New York Pepperoni next time. Loved this place and wish I could have tried some other menu items because everything looks and sounds so delicious. Will be back next trip to Las Vegas for sure!
