SATS CHECK-IN AND LOUNGE
SINGAPORE AIRPORT
We were flying from Singapore to Manila on Philippine Airlines. We arrived at the Philippine Airline counter in Singapore but could not find a Business Class check-in line. The Coach line was super long so I walked around to the front of one of the counters. I saw a small sign that said Business Class Passengers proceed to SATS for check-in. We had never seen anything like this at a check-in counter and had no idea what SATS was. I asked one of the workers where the SATS lounge was and he told me to go down several isles and look for it on the right. We walked through the airport thinking something was wrong. Then we saw a sign that said SATS Check-In. Entered to find a lounge type area with a counter. This is where we check in. Wow...they asked us to have a seat and took our passports. There were drinks in a cooler for us too. The clerk checked us in, issued boarding passes and took our bags in the lounge. This was absolutely the best check-in of my life.
We then went through a corridor where security checked our boarding passes then were escorted to customs without having any lines or crowds. Amazing!!!! If only all air travel could be like this. We were given a ticket at the counter that allowed us access to the SATS lounge near our gate. The lounge was large and had tv's, showers, full buffet, snacks and a bar. They even had free massage chairs. Nice place to hang out while waiting for your flight. We were delayed and just had to spend more time in this great lounge enjoying breakfast, noodles and other snacks.
