Nothing beats ending the work week at The Kahala Resort.  My Happy Place is the perfect spot to relax, unwind, reflect and give thanks.  Sitting here alone clears my mind and helps me reset.  Love the Ahi Sashimi which on this visit was fresher than fresh.  Melt in your mouth delicious.  Also enjoyed the Turkey Club which is served with some of the best French Fries on the Island.  Blessed to live so close to this beautiful resort!

These pack so much flavor that once you eat them once, you WILL BE hooked. I use
Ala Madre Low Carb Corn Tortillas to reduce the carbs without giving up flavor.

GRILLED SHUTOME

DINNER AT HOME

This dinner was so good because the fish was so fresh.  When fish is this fresh you really don't need a lot of seasoning and sauces.  Simple Salt, Pepper and maybe a touch of Lemon.  Sometimes I serve with a Butter/Cream Sauce but this was just fine without it.  Cut like butter and melted in my mouth!

This was one of the best meals of my life.  Incredible food and chefs in an intimate environment with nothing but smiles.  Host Lee Anne Wong did an amazing job organizing and preparing this event which raises money for Culinary Eduction.  Chefs Lee Ann Wong, Roy Yamaguchi, Robynne Maii and Michelle Karr-Ueoka shined with an incredible menu and family style presentation.  Every dish delivered on flavor.  Cannot pick just one that stood out because they were all delicious.  This was a great evening of food, wine and friends.  My sincere thanks to Lee Anne Wong and all of the Chef's who were so gracious!  Jacques Pepin would be proud of what you created in his name and for his Foundation.
