DINNER AT HOME

My Wife prepared the most delicious and amazing dinner for our Niece and her friend who were visiting from California.  This dinner was one of the best of my life.  Both the Lobster and Steak were Sous Vide and they were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection.  Everything from the Tartufo Cheese to the desserts were perfect.  My Niece said the Tartufo Cheese with Raspberry Jam was one of the best thing she has ever eaten.  Amazing dinner.  So blessed to enjoy something this good at home!

Our babies Birthday weekend continued with a Steak and Lobster dinner served on our lanai while in quarantine.  The Surf and Turf was served with Air Fried Cauliflower dusted in spices and Shirley's incredible Au Gratin Potatoes.  Lots of sweets with my favorite Baskin Robbins Mint n' Chip Ice Cream Cake and a homemade Cake from her boyfriend.  Delicious meal and great company.

Seeing my Daughter grow up makes me so happy!

We celebrate most all Birthdays, Valentines and other special days at home.  Don't like the crowds of restaurants and often find that we could cook a better meal at home rather than going out and spending hundreds of dollars.  We asked our Daughter where she would like to go for her Birthday dinner and after some thought she said at home.  I asked her what she wanted and she said "anything".  "C'mon I said to her.  It's your Birthday dinner".  After going over a few menus she decided on Steak and Lobster.  Great I thought, Mommy cooks that meal like a Five Star restaurant.  

This meal was pure perfection with all of our favorites including two desserts.

Blessed to have some good friends over for dinner during the holidays.  We enjoyed some great appetizers and a steak and lobster dinner that was as good or better than any fine dining restaurant in Hawaii.  Most of the appetizers were our variations of something we liked at recent restaurant visits.  The Pear and Prosciutto and Butternut Squash Ravioli came from Milano in San Francisco and the Scallop Sliders came from the Ragged Point Inn near Cambria.

Had some friends over to celebrate the New Year.  Served up some Oysters that we found at Whole Foods and fresh Sashimi from Murakai Market.  We baked some ham and gruyere cheese puff pastry treats and then sat down for a delicious steak and lobster meal.  Loved the twice baked potato that was filled with cheese, bacon and a kick from wasabi.

We had a business associate join us for dinner and my lovely bride really out did herself.  She whipped up a steak and lobster feast that would rival any fine dining restaurant in Hawaii.  We started with a platter of fresh Island Poke.  Kim Chee Tako Poke (squid) and Ahi Poke.  Picked this up at Foodland Farms who really has the best Poke in town.  We then enjoyed a light and fresh Caesar Salad topped with fresh avocado and a large shrimp wrapped in bacon.  The main course featured a nice size lobster tail and beef filet that was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Under the steak sat a nice portion of purple mashed potatoes with roasted garlic.  Fresh asparagus and carrots completed the dinner.  For dessert we had a wonderful apple tart perched on top of Maui's famous Roselani Hawaiian Vanilla Bean Ice Creme.  Wow....this was heaven!

Had a wonderful dinner at home with Shirley and her Mom.  This was a real treat.  All of our favorite foods cooked up by Chef Drew with a little help from Shirley.  Fresh Ahi Sashimi, Froi Gras, Filet Mignon, Lobster Tail, Fingerling Potatoes with Onion, Garlic and Fresh Herbs plus Asparagus with Hollandaise Sauce.  Wow......

My lovely wife cooked up a wonderful steak and lobster dinner.  Served up with some delicious fried sweet potato that she cut with a mandolin and fried in a fryer.  This was a lot of work but delicious.  I requested the smallest steak possible and only had a few bites.  This meal was great because we were together as a family enjoying the food and moment.  I am the luckiest man on earth.
