We cooked at home all week and kind of wanted to get out of the house for dinner.  Made a Date Night at Assaggio in Kahala.  We always begin with the Cold Antipasto Salad.  Love the Cheese, Anchovies and Dressing.  The Steamed Clams with White Wine and Butter are also a favorite but wow they don't give you enough.  I went with the Chicken Assagio with Pasta.  Did not eat the Pasta to stay low carb.  Took it home to my Daughter.  My Wife enjoyed Shrimp Scampi with all Veggies to stay low carb.  Food and service here are always good.

We decided to stay close to home and go out for a Date Night.  Ended up at Assagio's in Kahala.

Normally we enjoy the large pasta dishes here but for some reason we were not that hungry and wanted to keep it light.  Went for just a few appetizers and you know what, it was very satisfying and filling.

Started with the Cold Antipasta Salad which is one of our favorite salads on the Island.  Love the Pickled Vegetables, Anchovies and Cheese in this salad. Next up were the Steamed Clams which I also love.  Tired the Hot Seafood Antipasto for the first time.  Shrimp, Clams, Calamari and Mussels in a very light and spicy Tomato Sauce.  Not bad.

Assagio is a good "go to" Italian spot close to our home.  Always good food and service here.  We love the Cold Antipasti Salad with Anchovies.  Nice Pickled Vegetables, Cheese, Italian Meats and a delicious vinaigrette make this one of our favorite salads anywhere.  My Wife enjoyed Steamed Clams with a side of Angel Hair Pasta and I went for the Linguine and Clams.  I ordered the large portion and finished it all.  Was super delicious and I guess I was a bit hungry because this is the first time I have ever finished a large portion here.  Yummy!
