Back to one of my favorite local spots to buy 30 lunches for my office.  Love supporting Kahai Street Kitchen during these messed up times.  This is my third time buying 30 lunches from Kahai Street and 16th week doing this since the COVID19 lockdown.  Costing me a lot of money but it is the least I can do to support the local restaurants that have supported my golf tournament and been friends to me over the years.  This week we went with the Spicy Steak. Wow..this was amazing and spicy!

This was my 15th week in a row buying 30 lunches for my office.  My way of supporting Hawaii restaurants and the great people that work in them.  I love Kahai Street Kitchen so this was my second week buying lunches from them.  Went with a delicious Steak, Garlic Shrimp, Fried Rice and a Salad.  The office loved this lunch and the food got rave reviews from all.  Please support your local restaurants and small businesses during these terrible times.  They have been through a lot and need our support and business.  I am blessed to be able to help out in a small way.

Kahai Street Kitchen is one of my favorite and go to restaurants in Hawaii.  I have eaten here for years and they have catered many events for my company and personal parties.  Love their food, ownership team and employees.  Really special people that work hard and always give their best.  With many restaurants struggling due to Covid-19, I decided to buy lunch once a week for my entire company from a local restaurant so I can give back.  Of course Kahai Street was at the top of my list of restaurants so on this day I picked up 30 plates of Beef Stroganoff which was the Daily Special.

Yes, California has great Mexican food and In n' Out Burger that we don't have in Hawaii.  But we have places like Kahai Street Kitchen that cooks up great local and sometimes fine dining food for under ten bucks.  This super fresh Ahi Tuna Wrap set me back nine bucks and was worth every penny.  This was the perfect combination of fresh lightly seared Tuna and an equally fresh mix of 

vegetables.  One bite of this baby and I was happy to be eating in Hawaii on this day and did not even crave a taco afterwards.  This Wrap was big and delicious.  I love Kahai Street Kitchen especially when they serve up something like this.  The restaurant is a true hole-in-the-wall with no parking and seating for just a few people.  It is only open for a few hours four days a week for lunch and the menu changes every single day.  You need to get on their email list.  Once you are on, they will email you the daily specials by 8:00 am each day.  We place our orders by phone and then run over and pick them up.  This is a TASTE OF HAWAII FAVORITE!

Kahai Street Kitchen is one of my "go to" places for lunch.  They continue to put out great dishes that impress me.  One that caught me by surprise was the Cheese Burger Enchilada ($8.95).  Everyone in my office said it sounded terrible so I was the only one to order it.  Wow....glad I did.  Have actually enjoyed this dish twice now in the last couple of months.  It is huge, filling and delicious.  More like a big beef burrito.  Ragout of Ground Beef, Caramelized Onions, Shredded Cheese, Salsa rolled in Tortilla Wrap with Homemade Enchilada Sauce and topped with Shredded Cheese, Chipotle Aioli and a Sour Creme drizzle.  Served with some really good Mexican Rice and a Salad on the side.  This baby is the bomb.  Great flavor and the onions were oh..so sweet.  Love Kahai Street Kitchen and the Cheese Burger Enchilada!
