PUPU'S ON THE LANAI

DINNER AT HOME

Had a little business meeting at home on the lanai, and since it was during the dinner hour I decided to put out some pupu's for my guests to enjoy.  Prosciutto Wrapped Melon, Kim Che Tako Poke, Ahi Shoyu Poke, Butternut Squash Ravioli with Butter and Sage Sauce plus some Kalbi Chicken Skewers.  Nice selection of flavors.

Enjoyed an incredible meal cooked by my Wife for friends visiting from California.  Started the meal with some fresh Taco and Ahi Poke served with Cucumber and Avocado.  Yummy!!!  Next up was our favorite Boschetto Al Tartufo Cheese served with Garlic Bread and Raspberry Jelly.  This combination of the Truffle Cheese, Raspberry and bread make this an absolute flavor bomb. A little Prosciutto Wrapped Melon accompanied the cheese and it was light, fresh, cool and delicious.

The Spinach Salad with Bacon, Egg, Avocado and Strawberries was amazing.  Probably the best Spinach Salad I have ever tasted.  Homemade Honey Vinaigrette added a ton of flavor to this salad. The Steak and Lobster.  Wow....perfectly cooked and seasoned.  This meal was better than a Five Star restaurant in Honolulu.  My lovely bride knocked out the presentations and flavors making this a meal to remember.

Enjoyed the NCAA Basketball Championship at home.  As readers of my blog know, I don't really like to watch sporting events in bars and for some reason just like to chill at home and take in the action.  Even though I am not out in a bar, we still enjoy our favorite bar or stadium foods.  Most games must include a Nathan's Hot Dog and Nachos will lots of jalapeños.  I jacked up this years Nachos with some Chile.  The other item you must during the big game is Poke.  Enjoyed Kimchi Tako and Ahi Poke on this day.   Foodland is my "go to" spot to purchase Poke.  Always fresh and never disappoints with flavor.

Turned out a pretty good BBQ at home for family and friends.  Enjoyed the very hot and spicy Stuffed Jalapenos, Fresh Ahi Tuna Sashimi, Kim Chee Tako Poke (Squid), Garlic Soy Beans, Smoked Marlin, Garlic Grilled Shrimp, Cole Slaw, Cucumber Salad, Baked Beans, Corn on the Cob, Ribs, Chicken and Burgers.  Great variety and pretty good flavor if I do say so myself.
