WHOLE FOODS MULTIGRAIN PIZZA DOUGH

WHOLE FOODS MULTIGRAIN PIZZA DOUGH
DINNER AT HOME

Enjoyed some really delicious pizza at home using Whole Foods Multigrain Pizza Dough.  The pizza tasted fantastic and was better than most pizza you can buy in Hawaii restaurants or from a frozen box. The dough yielded two 13" pizzas with a fairly thin crust.  We rolled the dough out and then placed it on a 13" pizza stone.  Highly recommend using Bertolli Tomato and Basil Sauce for the base.  Topped half of the pizza with Mozzarella, Parmesan, Pepperoni and finely diced garlic.  The other half got all that plus Red Onion and Jalapeño.  Cooked the pizza at 400 degrees for around 18 minutes.  This gave us a nice crunch without overcooking the toppings.  Entire family loved this pizza and the total cost for all ingredients was less than $20.  Nice pizza at home for $10 each.

WHOLE FOODS PIZZA CRUST

WHOLE FOODS PIZZA CRUST
PIZZA AT HOME

I love Pizza but there are very few places in Hawaii that make it the way I like it.  I prefer a thin crust, minimal cheese and extra sauce.  Buying a pre-made Pizza Crust like the Whole Foods brand allows our family to customize a pizza to just the way we like it and not pay twenty to thirty dollars for a large pizza like they charge here in paradise.  When you can buy two 8" Pizza Crusts for $3.99 you are looking at a pretty inexpensive meal and you can use any toppings that you already have in your refrigerator.  I went with my favorite Jalapeño, Onion, Tomato and Basil while my daughter opted for the standard Pepperoni.  I simply topped the Pizza Crust with Bertolli's Tomato and Basil Sauce, added some Oregano and topped with our favorite toppings and some Mozzarella Cheese.  Both pizzas were delicious.
