Politics aside, I loved Qatar from the time we landed at the beautiful, clean and modern airport. Incredible and fast rail system to immigration and baggage claim and then safe transportation to our hotel. The city blends the old world charm with modern buildings that rival anything being built in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Impressive development that includes Venice like canals, major hotels, housing and massive soccer stadiums. We found the people to be warm and welcoming with many speaking English. Also felt more safe here than many cities in America and even Hawaii. Doha is so clean that you cannot help but ask yourself, "why can't other cities be like this"?
