Visiting San Diego always means eating at the Brigantine at least three to four times.  Seriously we love this place so much that we go for days in a row eating here.  On this visit we met up with old friends who live near Del Mar.  Friends for over 30 years and seeing our families grow up has been amazing.  Just as amazing is the food at Brigantine.  One of my favorite restaurants in the World!

The Fairmont Grand Del Mar continues to be one of my favorite destinations and hotels.

This visit was again excellent and I cannot wait to return.  While there is a distinct difference in the hotel during COVID with the main lobby bar being closed and no entertainment in the lobby on weekends, the place still has that sanctuary feeling that takes you to another place and away from the hustle and bustle of the city.  While I did not take many photos on this trip, I do invite you to click the links below to see why this place is so special.

    Cruising down Pacific Coast Highway and wanted to enjoy lunch on the beach.  Found Lost Pier Cafe in Laguna and grabbed an table oceanside.  I liked the Clam Chowder.  The Shrimp Roll was ok.  A little too much lemon juice for my taste though.  Fish Tacos were good and my Daughter liked the Ahi Poke Bowl.

It was a bit crazy securing a dinner for 18 people at Parker's Lighthouse.  Went back and forth with the Manager and staff and in the end they pulled it off with great service.  I love the food here.  The Steak and Lobster is the best.  Steaks always cooked to perfection and the Lobsters so fresh and meaty.  These taste like fresh lobsters and have some of the best flavor of any lobsters we have eaten. My 89 year old Mom loves Parker's for their Twin Lobster Tails.  We try to bring her here every year for her Birthday dinner with family.  While I did not take too many food pictures this time, I can tell you that EVERYONE loved the food.  I especially liked the Lobster and ShrimpTaquitos.  Had to keep ordering more.  Service for such a large group was great.

As a child, my Dad would bring us to what we called the "Glass Church" many times.  I loved this place then and returning again now brought back memories and a few tears.  This place is beautiful.  Designed by Architect Lloyd Wright, the Church sits on the edge of heaven overlooking the Pacific.
