Going to Mangialardo's in Washington DC was and expensive adventure. Our first cab driver dropped us off near the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue. I gave him the name and address and he didn't know where it was even though he said he did when we go into the cab. When he dropped us off, I said to him that this was not the right place. He acted like he did not speak English and told us it was right up the street. It wasn't. I then called an Uber and he began to drive onto the freeway. "What the heck" I said this cannot be the right way to the deli plus it was saying that it is a 20 minute ride and over $60. The driver checked his GPS and said we were going the right way. For some reason I thought Mangialardo's was near the White House. Turns out it was a bit of a distance away. We arrived just after the lunch rush hour and were greeted by friendly workers. I ordered the G Man Sub and we took it outside and sat at a curb. There are no seats inside and no tables outside so we sat in front of the restaurant on the ground. Sandwich was DELICIOUS! Add another $60 to get back to DC and this was a pretty expensive sandwich. Worth the price for the experience.
