Dream realized.......I have wanted to stay at The Hotel Hershey since I was a kid. Always dreamed that the entire hotel was made out of chocolate and that you could eat chocolate
24 hours a day. Well, you can eat chocolate 24 hours a day and there is a lot of it every where you go in Hershey. Loved the Hershey Bars given at check-in and the Hershey Kisses left in the room each day. Service here was hit or miss with some employees fully engaged in customer service and others not seeming to care at all. Definitely not a Five Star experience.
I paid a lot for our room and it was no where worth the price. Room and bathroom were small and the shower plumbing was difficult to figure out. Phone did not work so you could not call the Front Desk, make dinner reservations or call the Valet. I mentioned this to the Front Desk and nothing was done. Loved the Circular Restaurant which had some really great food.
Trevi 5 was ok for Italian food. Hotel has free shuttle service every half hour or so to the Hershey Parks and Downtown Hershey. This was very convenient and eliminated the hassle of parking. While the hotel and rooms are a bit dated and service is so so, I would probably stay here again for the convenience and proximity to Hershey World.
