Angelo's Pizzeria was our third stop after tasting Cheesesteaks at Pat's King of Steaks and Geno's Steaks. I saw this place listed on many 'Best of Philadelphia" posts and a "Must Eat" spot in Philadelphia on ChatGPT. The line was down the block when we arrived and the sun was beating down with no shade. My wife opted to stay across the street where it was a bit cooler. Once you get to the door, the process goes very fast. You order and they take your cell phone number. 20 to 30 minutes later you get a text that says your food is ready. We waited across the street and sat on the curb. As we waited the line for Angelo's got longer and longer so I guess we got there at the right time. I got the text and went back in to pick up my order. Paid and then went back across the street to the curb. The sandwich was heavy and long and I was so excited to open it up. It didn't look too appealing but after taking a bite it was "WOW". The bread was the big difference between Pat's and Geno's. Angelo's was softer and much more flavorful. The meat, cheese and onions all blended in together on another level. Pretty much perfect. Both my wife and I declared Angelo's the winner of our Cheese Steak Tour. My wife, who is not a big sandwich or Cheese Steak lover was so impressed that she wanted to buy two more to take on the airplane with us.
