Liked having a glass of wine at JT at Ross Bridge but would not go back here for the food.
You are better off going downstairs and eating at The Clubhouse if you are hungry.  Our table of hungry golfers tried the Irish Nachos, Cheese and Charruterie Plate, Spicy Wings and Bacon and Onion Flatbread.  All were so so.  The Bacon and Onion Flatbread does not have a sauce so it was bland as can be.  Tasted like eating cardboard.  The Irish Nachos were no where close to the great taste of the Chili Nachos served downstairs at The Clubhouse restaurant and we really did not eat much of them.  Wings were not that good either.  No complaints on the Cheese Plate.

Enjoyed my stay at the Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort in Alabama.  Rooms were clean, staff was very pleasant and the fact that you can walk to the Golf Club House is fantastic.  Pretty much a golfers paradise.  I stored my clubs with the valet crew and they were great giving me access to my bag or taking it to and from the course.  The Ross Bridge Golf Course on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail is a really good course.  Long and wide fairways but very challenging with lots of water and sand.  I would recommend staying here if you are spending a few days in Birmingham and want to golf.

Enjoyed several meals at the Clubhouse at the Ross Bridge Golf Resort.  The staff here was excellent.  Always polite, friendly and smiling.  Enjoyed one of the best if not THE best meals of my Alabama trip here.  The fresh Flounder with Fingerling Potatoes and Broccoli was superb.  The fish was cooked to perfection and seasoned so it had great flavor.  Loved everything on the plate.  On two visits we enjoyed and devoured the Chili Nachos.  These things are good.  Really good.  Added a bunch of JalapeƱos and we could not stop eating them.  Think it is the delicious Chili that makes these so good.  On another day I enjoyed the RTJ Clubhouse Sandwich.  It was not bad.  I asked the waitress on two occasions to make sure I had all Romaine Lettuce because I cannot stand the purple and black lettuce all restaurants now serve.  Both times I was accommodated with a smile.  Appreciated that.  I ordered a steak the last night at Ross Bridge but really did not like the Crawfish Butter placed on top.  The steak however was cooked to perfection.

Ross Bridge Golf Course is beautiful.  What a joy to play.  There were many times when I just stopped and took a deep breath and just looked at the views.  Thought to myself "Wow this is beautiful".  The course is in great condition with greens that are very challenging.  Seems the ball turns right or left just before it was supposed to to go in the hole.  Our entire group had trouble making putts here.  The fairways are large and there are several blind holes.  Fairways are large and open.  The course is long but very enjoyable with lots of bunkers and water.  Out of the four courses we played on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail this was my favorite.
