We asked our driver from our Bali Villa for a lunch recommendation on the beach. Without hesitation he headed for Ganesha Cafe and boy were we happy he did. This place is great. So good in fact we returned for dinner a few days later. We were treated like family here with the staff providing excellent service with bright smiles. After we were seated at a table on the beach, the waiter asked us to follow him to the front where we could pick out our seafood. The large tanks were filled with Lobster, Crab, Prawns, Clams, Mussels and Oysters. Against the wall there were large tanks filled with live fish. We took a fish recommended by the attendant and then added some large Shrimp. What I loved about this place is that you can choose the preparation. Grilled with Garlic or Balinese Sauce or Fried with Sweet & Sour Sauce, Chili Sauce, Margarine Sauce, Flour or Black Pepper Sauce. We did Black Pepper Fish and Sweet and Sour Shrimp. Oh my goodness, the Sweet and Sour Shrimp was the best in our lives. Perfectly cooked with a very light crispy coating and a delicate sauce. Wow...I thought about this every single day and am so happy we went back to have it again. This was a great meal in a beautiful location. Was worth sitting in the hot sun!
